Thoughts about Google I/O 2016?
1In March, I enjoyed hearing peoples opinions about what they thought about the initial Android N alpha preview.
As you may or may not know, today was the first day of Google I/O 2016.
I just had the pleasure of watching the Keynote Speech, and I thought to myself:
"Self; what you did in March was enjoyable hearing people's thoughts about N, how about you do the same thing for the Keynote Speech?"
Obviously, not all of you had 2 hours to spend watching the Keynote Speech where they talking about Google Home, Allo, N, Android Wear 2.0, Android Studio 2.2, improvements to Firebase, and more.
So...
If you're interested in participating in this conversation, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
If you haven't seen any news, come back later one you have done research in stuff which has been introduced.
But in the meantime, you can enter a name for what N should be officially.
I look forward to hearing/reading your thoughts!

While I'm sightly disappointed that certain stuff not N related won't be available until the Fall, at least the following is available now:
Android Wear 2.0 initial preview though it's only available for the Huawei Watch and the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition.
Android N beta (that link is if you don't already have the 1st or 2nd alpha) For Nexus 6, 6P, 5X, Pixel C, and other supported devices.
Preregistration for Allo Not that it will really help you.
Preregistration for Duo Not that it will really help you.
Any word on making updates suck less for the non-Nexus crowd?
@dashcloud
Sadly not what is being demanded.
However...
For devices which have N, updates will be downloaded in the background (while on Wifi I'd assume), and instead of telling you that an update is available, next time the device is booted, it will use the new system.img.
They said that this concept has worked nicely with ChromeOS, so they're gonna try it on Android.
Naturally, this may be controversial with some users. It will possibly be opt-in, although they didn't really talk much about that.
Although I'm sure that Android Police will find out, so I'll post if there is any confirmation if it's opt-in.
Speaking of updating, since N will be using a JIT compiler, no more "Android Is Updating" screen.
This got a lot of cheering from people.
I forgot who mentioned this part of N, but he said that the best feeling for a programmer is being able to delete code.

Here's more information about the seamless updates in case you're curious.
It was less terrible for local traffic than expected. Apparently a lot of the google employees stayed home, to avoid the congestion around shoreline.
@lifftchi
Well that's not so bad (about the traffic.)
Then again, looking at this page, Google offered promo codes for uber and lyft, and provided numerous suggestions to help people get to I/O, that even though there were 7,000 people in attendance by the Keynote (their number), that traffic was sightly helped.
Great news for Chrome users - You're getting the Google Play Store.
