I think this will be our 8th time at this house. My favorite on the island. It’s worth the swim
@Kyeh To be honest, we’ve been there almost every year for 15 years and I’ve never cooked beef or pork. On the island, it’s fresh local seafood everyday or starve. There are a few oyster bars about 40 yards from our dock and every morning the guy who owns them is out in a john boat collecting them in a bucket. He then sells them to the fishmonger that is 1/4 mile from our house. I get a dozen for less than $10 and they’re still damp with seawater, because I’m always first in line And I ride a bike with a basket to the market because you needed that image in your brain
@capnjb@Kyeh Swim??? In that cold water??? I’ll sneak over on a boat thank you. Maine’s water is cold enough to turn your legs red in about 10 seconds. Nova Scotia is about 3 inches from icebergs I think. That is a lovely sunrise or set. I’m totally jealous!
