It is one of my favorite books. The original TV series was fine… But it could never compete with a book that is 1083 pages. Especially when it’s not rated R.
I enjoyed part 1, even though they changed some stuff. It was creepy. Bill Skarsgaard plays a great Pennywise.
I’m looking forward to it. I think I’ll skip watching any more trailers for it because I know I’m going to see it. No point in any spoilers of what else is changed from the book.
@RiotDemon I read the book, and thought it was pretty good (not my favorite, but a good read). Then, a year later, he comes out with The Tommyknockers, with basically the same premise surrounding the do-bad. To make matters worse, the second book makes a reference to the happenings that occurred in the story/location of It, so the same fictional universe. Come on! Two similar-in-nature but unrelated infestations in a small section of rural Maine? Do they have some kind of landing beacon?
@macromeh that doesn’t bother me. Almost all of his books connect in some way.
I loved the Tommyknockers. It’s up in my top five of his books. The beginning is a little slow with drunk ole gard e gard, but everything else is crazy and I love it.
@RiotDemon Oh… didn’t know it was a part 1. Never watched it. When they said a new IT movie, I was thinking remake. Thought it was a little soon for a remake. Thanks
Meh, are you asking me on a date?
I want to see IT but fuck trailers in general. They ruin the movies high spots.
@rpg714 I’ve never had a trailer convince me that I wanted to see a movie. They just give away huge plot points.
@melonscoop @rpg714 this trailer shows an entire scene… So much for a “teaser.”
I loved the original TV series, but I probably won’t see any of the new movies. They look too scary, and I’m a wimp when it comes to horror.
Sure, I see almost all the trailers for upcoming movies.
Remakes rarely live up to the original. The mystery of the original IT has not been topped.

Didn’t they just recently make the other one?
@lseeber part one was at least a year ago.

horror movies aren’t my thing.
@jerk_nugget Ditto
Wait, another one? I haven’t even seen the first reboot.
@jitc this is part 2.
