Should I run it? The upside of running it is that I can say that I ran it. The downside is that I have to get up at 6am on a Saturday. What do you think?
I presume you have personal reasons for running, and for keeping yourself fit enough to contemplate 5K and 10K runs. Then you run in an event or a race and you get the competition and the comaraderie and group enthusiasm.
That’s how I think it would go, but I’ve never done one. What’s the downside? I’m curious.
@f00l Not a very well-organized run. A hovering dad yelled at his son, who couldn’t have been more than 10 years old, during the entire race to run faster. Not enough bathrooms and it was hot. Other than that it was a joy.
Pass
If you possess the ability to run a 10k…DO IT!
If you think you won’t have to quit and won’t feel bad or be in bad shape afterwards, go.
Use headphones and music/podcasts as needed along with hydration.
Your pace is your pace. Let no one fuck with that.
Sunscreen
Have fun.

Don’t run.
Relax with a pizza & a couple beers instead.
/8ball Should @huja run the 10k?
As I see it, yes
Wellllll?? Was it worth it?
@mikibell I ran 5K
@huja and not really
@huja
How so, the not really part?

@huja
That’s ridiculous. (Although I’m sure you knew that.)
@huja - Seems like you should get a K badge (or 5).
