@rtjhnstn oh man, I think I found out about that game on Meh, back when I first joined! Played the heck out of it for several weeks, then felt like I sort of “finished” the game after I ascended 5+ times. Should I have kept playing?
I enjoy Star Trek Timelines. It’s mostly solo, and mostly mindless, and Star Trek. Join my fleet, Merkin. To clarify: my fleet is named merkin. Here’s a gif of a different Star Trek game:
@LaserEyes I was nuts about Stardew Valley. I played it non-stop for about 6 weeks. Once I felt bored enough work on my friendships with the gross villagers (sorry! some of them are just dumb as hell – looking at you, Sebastian) I decided it was time to stop playing.
@cpierce@LaserEyes Abigail is super. I was really fond of her, Leah and Penny, but had to marry Maru. (When I saw “I”, I mean “Polly”, the plucky lady farmer who’s my avatar.)
I have around 15 games on my phone (not counting emulators) and I really only play Fire Emblem Heroes and Animal Crossing Pocket Camp regularly. Oh, and Solitaire.
@cpierce What’s your ID for AC: PC? I have the rest of the meh people (even if only @brhfl regularly plays anymore. Oh, and @Dave pops in every once in awhile.)
Any Niantic players about? We’ve been playing Ingress since 2013, and I’ve gotten Dad into Pokemon Go as well. So far it’s just me on Wizards Unite. I have a few other games, but I rarely launch them on my phone. I’ve used the Falling Sand app to kill some time when I have a short wait, though.
@jsfs I just started playing Wizards Unite. I played Ingress for years but got bored. Really hard to get to the top few levels. I’m enjoying being forced out of the house every day, though the weather right now is insane, so I’ve mostly been playing from my living room.
I used to play Angry Birds a lot. I think I have most of the versions on my phone. Since they have gotten progressively worse, in my opinion, I don’t play much and usually go back to the original versions when I do. I also played Fruit Ninja a lot, but now only occasionally play in Zen mode. I like the Quell series and found it somewhat relaxing as well as challenging, but since I finished them all I haven’t played for a while.
-Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp (every day)
-Quick Logic Puzzles (try to remember to play the free one every day)
-Wheel of Fortune (lately it’s been every day but there was a really long spell where I didn’t play at all)
@msklzannie Wheel of Fortune is an excellent game—but I’m currently on a hiatus from it. I go through runs where I get addicted to it, then realize how much time it’s consuming and stop playing altogether for a few a months. I’m currently in the “no play” phase of that cycle.
@narfcake I finally had to give up on my Lumia 950. My wife still uses hers but may jump to Android soon like me. I stuck with Nokia tho. I have a Nokia 7.1. I like it. As far as Windows phone games we both liked Ilomilo.
The only games currently on my phone are puzzles: Enjoy Sudoku (there is a free version, called Enjoy Sudoku Daily) and Sherlock Pro (there is a free version of this as well, called Sherlock).
I have had Plants vs Zombies, Angry Birds, 2048 and various other puzzle and not-puzzle games at times in the past, but only Enjoy Sudoku and Sherlock have survived the long haul.
I only play games with IAPs. Why pay once for a game, when you can cough up a monthly fee in perpetuity or, better yet, buy extra crystals/hearts/moons/clovers to keep playing for 15 more minutes?
word games. i like the blue ox games - 7 little words, red herring, tiny little crosswords, and monkey wrench. i have moxie too but i don’t play it that often. i use them to relax and occupy my mind so i need the games i play to be able to be silent as well as not keep score or time, and to be solo. the more minimal design the better too - not really a fan of the recent 7 little words redesign or the full screen video ads, but it’s free, so.
i also have limbo and fruit ninja on my phone but i rarely play them - i’m not good at touchscreen anything still and i never learned to play “regular” video games so my understanding and coordination is pretty garbage and i get frustrated/bored pretty early on.
I play idiotic dopamine games. The kind that want to show you ads – Bricks n Balls, for example. On vacation, I don’t feel any urge to play them. Only when work is on, and there is no natural satisfaction of any kind available, then they start looking attractive.
Puzzles
Mindless
Horses, for real. Television Games.
Oh wait…I sort of play games on my phone. Well, mostly on my iPad.
I do chess puzzles at chesstempo.com and play chess at lichess.org. Does that count?
Golf Blitz
Mind games with people on a certain forum
(Mostly directed towards @cinoclav lately)
@nolrak Ooh, I know that game!
Isn’t phone entertainment posting food pictures on Facebook and watching cat videos?
@hchavers, I think the kids are into Instagram these days. Facebook is for people over the age of 35.
@kittykat9180 oh, so that’s why Zuckerberg’s upset
@hchavers @kittykat9180 Zuck isn’t upset at all. Facebook owns Instagram.
Plants vs. Zombies 2.
That is all.
Swarm Sim

@UncleVinny No!
Hearthstone. But just for the Tavern Brawls.
I enjoy Star Trek Timelines. It’s mostly solo, and mostly mindless, and Star Trek. Join my fleet, Merkin. To clarify: my fleet is named merkin. Here’s a gif of a different Star Trek game:
Sudoku. On the toilet.
@PocketBrain mental note. Never touch your phone.
@tinamarie1974 hashtagpoopemoji
The only games I play are Two Dots and Dr Mario World.
Currently just Stardew Valley. Would that be immersive? Farm sim
@LaserEyes I was nuts about Stardew Valley. I played it non-stop for about 6 weeks. Once I felt bored enough work on my friendships with the gross villagers (sorry! some of them are just dumb as hell – looking at you, Sebastian) I decided it was time to stop playing.
@LaserEyes @UncleVinny Abigail is my waifu

I like playing FlipPix on my tablet.

@msklzannie I quit Animal Crossing- it was ruling my life.
I still have a Windows Phone. What are games?
@narfcake Something to burn through your battery in just a few hours. Ya know, so you can buy today’s deal.
@narfcake I finally had to give up on my Lumia 950. My wife still uses hers but may jump to Android soon like me. I stuck with Nokia tho. I have a Nokia 7.1. I like it. As far as Windows phone games we both liked Ilomilo.
I play mindless games like diamond diaries, pet rescue, and BubbleWitch3. I recently played Life is Strange, which is an immersive game.
The only games currently on my phone are puzzles: Enjoy Sudoku (there is a free version, called Enjoy Sudoku Daily) and Sherlock Pro (there is a free version of this as well, called Sherlock).

I sadly admit I’ve played over 2000 levels of Family Guy: Another Freaking Mobile Game.
Words With Friends, with friends.
I only play games with IAPs. Why pay once for a game, when you can cough up a monthly fee in perpetuity or, better yet, buy extra crystals/hearts/moons/clovers to keep playing for 15 more minutes?

@jerk_nugget also if anyone has any favorite games in a similar vein feel free to share your recs!
Simpsons Tapped out (town building), Tiny Tower (tower building) and Shattered Pixel Dungeon (Rogue/Moria style game).
@kalma Liked for Simpsons
Emulators, with an Xbox One controller. It’s great. Mostly RPGs. Also Pokémon Black.
I have a computer with three monitors running side by side as one monitor, and have an Android emulator. Why would I play games on a tiny cell phone?
The daily routine:
Township (what a fucking timesuck!!)
7 Little Words
Quick Logic Puzzles
Solitaire Collection - Solitaire & FreeCell
Zynga Poker
Sometimes, but they’re fun:
Brain It On!
Skillz

NYT crossword. Still working back through the archive.
I was recently introduced to Plato. Anyone on it looking to play?
Words with Friends and Backgammon. Nothing else. Oh, Solitaire and Yahtzee when I am on an airplane, but that has been ages ago, damn covid.
