@yakkoTDI Almost everyone in my office (literally everyone in my building this year) takes the day after Thanksgiving off. This makes it such a laid-back day, I never feel it merits burning a vacation day.
Recovering, start taking down Autumn decor. Avoid stores at all costs. Maybe do some online bargain hunting. Turkey sandwiches. Make turkey stock from the carcass.
Autumn decor is packed up. Most leftovers are gone or down to sample sizes. Monster cookies have been made. Sunday will be exchanging the Autumn and Christmas boxes in the attic and making Mom’s Turkey and Noodles with the remaining turkey.
The day after Thanksgiving is for realizing that you forgot to visit the Meh website yesterday and click on the face, breaking an almost three year streak that you just reestablished three weeks ago, after missing one day on another almost three year streak!! Aaaarrrgggg!
This year is: beach time, kayaking, looking at recent trip pics from the grandson (Spain) and SWMBO (Greece), and FIFA World Cup games (USA vs England 1400 ET). Did T-day Wed so been doing the leftover and sandwich thing already. Today will be make your own flatbread or naan pizzas and/or enchiladas.
No shopping planned here…
I do IT for a retail company so for some dumb reason I can’t take the day off but I’m also in my sweats chatting with coworkers on who’s taken the biggest dump today over teams.
More work. Hopefully it will be slow so I can leave early to go visit family.
