The boycott of Meh
27So as you well know Meh has taken away the beloved face calendar and put our Meh clicks in our profile. This change is unacceptable. Sometimes the only way to make change happen is to protest, see the popsockets for results. As such it’s time to boycot Meh till we the customer have the calendar and Meh clicks returned to their rightful spot. So Day 1 what did you buy on some other site? I just bought some replacement cam locks total cost 21$ or enough for 3 pairs of clogs. Your loss Meh and your move.

I bought a pair of 18" heavy duty steel angle brackets that weigh 16+ pounds. That’s 88 cents you won’t get, meh!
And it’s shipping 2 days Prime too!

@Kidsandliz Depends on what you see as the purpose. 10 fewer items sold on Meh is 10 more items available for sale at Morningsave at a higher price. So the apparent purpose of a boycott is to increase the net profit per item for Mediocre. Ergo, I should forego sales on Meh and wait to buy the item when it shows up on Morningsave.

I purchased two pair of summer shoes on another site… they are famous for their footwear.

God damn it, Meh was good then some asshat had to go and “improve it”, and now it isn’t.
I really don’t understand why they’d take away the click counter. That was the thing that made me be sure to visit every day and click the meh face. I guess I don’t have to do that any more.
That’s right, I won’t be making a single purchase from this half baked production until that calendar and counter are back where they belong. I will however be visiting to click the meh button as I’m nearing my all time high streak.

Yes, it’s pretty dumb to remove such an iconic part of the site, but not nearly as dumb as selling it to amazon (unless you got to cash the check). But let’s face it, not a single one of you will not at least try to buy the rare great deal if it’s offered, button counter or not.

Bring back the click counter!
I remember the date math for the calendar made it so the page took a long time to load, but there were some changes that improved that. Maybe it was still too slow. I don’t remember why we did it server-side instead of client-side though. Who knows, maybe they’ll bring it back as client-side javascript when they have time to work on it.
@katylava, or just don’t worry about the way it worked, and bring it back as it was.

Bought some stuff off woot yesterday, and I bought some replacement cam lock arms off Mrlock, took a free breathalyzer and passed almost tempted to buy these cheap breathalyzers but no money for meh till the calendar of faces that didn’t work how they wanted it but worked for everyone else is restored.
