And with that exciting post directly below this one, we will end the conversation on here where every post was written in reverse chronological order (last post first and first post last)
I had been surfing the web for years now… Thirty of them, to be exact. It has been a long time, I thought, as I caught a glimpse of myself reflected in a black part of the screen, lit only by the bright whites and flashing advertisements permeating the content, if you can call it that. A bit haggard, more grey than not-grey, and with the basement pallor of one that hasn’t been seen by the sun in far too long. But I must go on. So I clicked again, following yet another blue link to somewhere else.
The shock of the massive revelation of my neighbors’ dark secret made me run back to my house screaming. To clear my mind I sat down at my computer to aimlessly surf the internet.
The day had been quiet, free from the sounds of bulldozers and hammers that had been coming from my neighbor’s backyard for the last week. The sun was about to set and it seemed like a good time to take a break from the keyboard and go for a walk. Close to the fence line, I could see that my neighbor now had a new barn! Or maybe it was a new workshop. Hard to tell in the gathering darkness. In any case, there was a light shining through the still-unfinished plank wall and some odd noises coming from inside. My curiosity got the better of me and I walked over to the new building and took a peek through a knothole.
