The Avengers are all grown up
22I need to share more photos of them, but I took this one of Bucky Barnes a couple of weeks ago and really wanted to share it.
I’ve never seen a mane like that on a domestic cat. Never.

Life is kind of busy, but I have a hard time getting anything done because when I put a blanket over me, I nod off. lol It’s been cold here the past few months, the cost of fuel to run the furnace is outrageous (our utility company is under scrutiny from the state right now for possible price gouging - we do have the highest rates in the nation for electricity). I have the thermostat set at 65° and that’s only for a couple of hours in the morning and night. So, if I’m not active, I use a blanket. Say goodnight.
I’m still working on last year’s holiday cards. That’s how behind I am.
Sales are slow, money is tight, so I’m trying to not spend on things I’ll never use, so not here much.
Anyway, enjoy the photo of our big boi.

Wow, I’ve never seen a house cat like that before. Super pretty.
His Lisaviolet! Does he let you brush him out? His coat is very pretty!!
I’ve never seen a mane like that either! I wonder if his dad was a Maine Coon or Norwegian Forest cat, something like that? I’m sorry things are tough; I miss hearing from you and seeing all the kitties.
Huh, I just remembered to change to today’s page on my cat calendar and it features this guy:
They could be related, although Bucky is much more lionish!
He looks so regal. Please pass along a head skritch for me.
one of my Gf’s outdoor kittehs, Trinket, has about half that much mane… which i found a bit odd, seeing as Trinket is a Girl cat… and ya know… lioness’s don’t develop a mane, just the males.
Oh my! He is magnificent!
Looks like he’s part Siberian (aka Siberian Forest cat or just forest cat), so the mane is part of the breed, but the color is not typical. They’re more commonly white. Siberians have a triple-layer coat like (I think) a Bernese dog. In any case, gorgeous. I bet petting this cat is a treat!
Quite the ruffle!
Maine Coons do get a ruffle, but this guy is especially gifted.
Wow, that is one tough ruff!
Looks like he’s wearing something from the thrift store! Somewhere nearby you there’s a pet groomer just itching to get to work on that! Definitely Siberian or Norwegian forest cat lineage …
Hope things get better for you as Spring approaches - renewal of the spirit and fortunes and all that!
That is amazing. I hope no one in your neighborhood runs off with him if he escapes from your yard. VERY impressive.
Actually if he is at all trained I’d bet cat calendars or pet food companies would love to use his photo. Make the little man work for a his kibble (grin). Actually if there is (or at least I think there is) a site where you can upload photos and you get paid any time the photo is used.
