@Teripie I forgot to mention to you that the only position that has incentives here are the kickers (based on the distance of the field goal) There are no penalties for missed kicks. I think this should make them more relevant based on your posts on the last thread. I just can't bring myself to have 3 WR's + FLEX, which could possibly mean 4 WR's being played at the same time.

@christinewas It is sad. I love Welker. The Pats stole him from Miami and he prospered in NE. Just too many hits from the routes that he would run. Such is the life of a slot receiver. He was one of the best. I would not be surprised if this is his last year.

1st rule of fantasy. Never become emotionally attached to a player or a team. Tough to do sometimes.

I've never particularly liked the boys, especially with how often Romo is compared to Rivers (I think Rivers is a way, WAY better QB).

Not to mention all of my California friends gave me endless shit about how quickly I would turn into a Cowboys fan and abandon my true team. That's not happening.

You never know which team they're gonna field every weekend; the team that looks like Super Bowl contenders, or the team that couldn't beat a high school team. But you can bet, if they have a lead at halftime, they'll figure out a way to lose. And when it's 3rd and short, they do a fucking pass play!

Waiver Order System
The waiver order determines which team has the first chance to claim a player off waivers.
The default setting is 'Resets each week...' and if selected the team in last place will be reset to first in the waiver order each week during the season.
If 'Move to last after claim...' is selected, the waiver order does not reset on a weekly basis.
Note: Regardless of which option is selected, after a team makes a waiver selection that team is shifted to the final waiver position. This setting can be changed at any time during the season.

I am guessing first come first serve, and then to the back of the line.

@mfladd so, really what's changing is that everything now carries over from week to week, instead of resetting to reverse standings?

@mfladd In what way would it be first come first served? Waivers are processed at the same time, based on current waiver order, regardless of when you make the claim. There's still a waiver order. I really think this means it carries over every week. Which means I am likely to be much more selective about making waiver claims every week, because it could hurt me the next week.

@christinewas with "resets each week" the team with the worst record would get first FA pick. With the "move to last" option the claims will not be reset, but will continue based on whether or not you have made a claim. In essence to be higher on the list, the more selective you will have to be with your claims. Doesn't mean you won't get a person if no one else selects them. It just means that if an RB goes down and everyone wants the backup, the person at the top of the claims list will get them. This just keeps the teams with the worst records from getting all the top free agency picks.

Being proactive and hunting out the FA deals before they become a must helps.

If anyone else does not like this speak up now before the season starts. But this process can still be changed during the season.

@mfladd I still prefer a system that throws an occasional bone to the little guy who is struggling from behind. Keeps them struggling (instead of resigning). In the past, this has usually put me late in the waiver order because I was high in the standings. But it was OK, because the "losers" aren't usually the ones making a bunch of claims anyway.

I don't want to see the person who hasn't bothered with free agency all season to suddenly have an advantage (because of their inactivity) when that RB scenario pops up. Seems like the opposite of encouraging participation.

@mfladd Also, fwiw, @drunkcat said something in favor of the "reverse standings" setting over in slack. (Could feel differently after seeing all of the details... was only able to skim, at the time.)

@Teripie no autodraft. The rules, the commandments - 1) you participate in the Draft no matter what - I hate autodrafts or lists. (this is non-negotiable, no excuses - if you can't do this go someplace else)
