1 king sized sheets
Not bad. The sanitizer is probably still good (and it doesn’t stink). I have a king sized bed. The blue irk bag will be used for grocery shopping. The trackers will probably end up in the trash and the purse will find a new home somewhere.

I got the exact same. Thanks for saving me the time to take a photo. Except I only got three trackers and I don’t have a king size bed.
I had a feeling that Hand Sanitizer was going to be part of everyone’s irk boxes this time. I was at the Morning Save store a few weeks ago and they are trying to give away the stuff. They had over a pallet inside the store and a couple of baskets outside labeled “FREE”.
btw, the B&M Morning Save store is being partially remodeled to include pickleball courts.
@ironcheftoni I didn’t realise the Morning Save store was still open, I thought there was a thread on here about it closing, I must be mistaken. Glad to hear it is still in operation.
@OnionSoup Apparently they were closed but now reopened. It almost looked like they were going out of business given the few products that were in stock and 3/4 of the store blocked off. But there was plenty of inventory of the few products they did offer. I needed to get a “nice” white elephant gift as dictated by our director. I can’t remember what she received but it must have been really shitty.

Looks like the shit is flowing down hill early for this batch of IRKs. Mine is out for delivery today. Haven’t told me wife yet I ordered one so if the IRK doesn’t get me my wife will. Although maybe not-there is a piece of jewelry she has had her eye on at Costco so she is being extra nice to me.
I got a box of 30 of these bluetooth trackers. Is it just me, or are they useless? The app isn’t available in the iOS store, which without that?
@bigjim_ replying to myself… Had a thought, I could harvest the batteries and use in my AirTags but of course these have CR2016 and an AirTag uses CR2032.

@bigjim_ They can be fun. If you get a bunch of watch straps in your irk too, you can make trackers for all the squirrels in your neighborhood, and easily track down plenty of nuts to crack for the holidays.

@bigjim_ A CR2016 stacked with a penny gets you a CR2032 that lasts half as long, if you are in a pinch.
Mind you, not with these dead ass batteries from the Tracks, but a good CR2016 will work.
IRK showed up yesterday in a Cuisinart Grind and Brew Coffee maker box. My wife was mystified until I fessed up about the IRK. On opening the box was pleasantly surprised to find the coffee maker (looks to be in good shape), an IRK bag, a couple of packs of 12V chargers, and a 15-inch tablet shell.
Considering the quality of previous IRKs I will take this as a win!

@medz 100%. I ended up getting this irk after going a while sticking to BOCs (which have been consistently better since around the time irks became sidedeal sales fuel). Not terribly optimistic, but I also have a BOC coming. That I’m excited about. Pretty sure this is my last irk.
@iamdmann me too. It’ll be interesting to compare the $10 value of woot boc versus the $10 Irk + $20 entry fee of meh

I fell in love with the buzzing buggers when one of my cats got lucky (unlucky?) enough to catch one and I chased it around the house trying to a) catch the cat and b) rescue one or both from each other. I could have caught them both quicker if my husband would have quit roaring with laughter and if I could have stopped giggling. I think the cat was as freaked out as we were because whatever he caught kept making his lips flutter out and vibrating his brain. Everytime the cicada would vibrate he’d shake his head like I had just put oil in his ears. I think he forgot how to open his mouth to let it out.
Surprisingly, neither cat nor cicada was any the worse for wear when they were finally divorced. Added bonus was the cat didn’t even sniff at the doorways until long after cicadas has stopped humming for the year.
@medz great idea! I do have some leftover Martha Stewart glitter paint! I was thinking a woodland wreath incorporating them.

@Consigliare @EdgarAllenPope @werehatrack The iPhone SwiftFinder app wasn’t working on our last test. In fact, no iPhone app for TrackR worked. Please give it a try and let us know though. There are a few options for Android, though SwiftFinder is the most feature-complete.
@Consigliare Thanks so much for sharing. I would have just deep-sixed the whole box otherwise. But I downloaded the app and yes, it’s working great! The only problem I can foresee is getting the damn things open when I need to replace the battery. But hopefully with 30 of these things, I can put that off for a while!

I only got a dozen TrackR’s in my IRK - but gave some away to my office mates and we had no luck with swiftfinder on iPhone. It works on Android…but on iPhone it didn’t find the TrackR’s

I m going to make a youtube video, but what I did id go into the SwiftFinder app, go to add and select smart tag. At this point you’ll push the button on the front of the Trackr. The Trackr, if the battery works, will yell at you. Then the app will see it.

@Consigliare @Joedetroit of my 68, one had a working battery, and it’s from my IRK from Dec 2022. That said, the age of the batteries I’m not 100% on, but the packaging says that the trackers are compatible with an iPhone 4 so that probably gives you an idea

@werehatrack I work in a lab where we work with questionable things that I can’t really talk about on the interwebs. I pretty much dip my arms into vats of sanitizer every day
And I just work on computer systems. When your IT guy has his own lab coat and prescription lab glasses and also wears a face shield and gloves when changing your password, he likely won’t waste time with discount sanitizer. And by he, I mean me.

Red Fuko tote bag - yes, Fuko. The last one I got, also red, lived up to its name by disintegrating into red mummy dust inside the cabinet where it was stored with other Woot/Meh bags. I vacuumed out the cabinet and cleaned the other bags but still find bits of red dust in odd places. I like that the Irk replaced my Fuko tote, but this one will be stored in a sealed plastic bag, just in case.

Damn…they got me good. Just when I thought there could be one thing useful at least, they send 30 some trackr pixels, 2 gold phone grip and stands, and a 16 oz bottle of hand sanitizer. Curses!!!

Enjoying the schadenfreude. I have been vocally pissed off at meh for a long time with selling absolute shit without the “luck” of getting something good.
Per the comments, there hasn’t been a single thing that was worth 30. I really do not know what they are doing. Casemates absolutely killed it with Cyber Week deals. Where did the minorship go wrong? Was it the octopus? Did we just admit that Bezos won?
When BOCs are more coveted than IRK’s, yes, yes they went wrong. For fuck’s sake I am not Greta Thurnberg, but why on earth would you not just throw your junk in the trash versus sending it elsewhere? This has been nothing but trash for year +.

I won this time! The sheets fit our bed and we have a friend that likes stuff with bees. So the purse will get a home.
The 80% alcohol gel may be good for outdoor science demonstrations that require fire. I will have to Google all of the ingredients first.
The 13 inch MacBook shell went straight into the donate basket. It landed on a 15 inch shell from an earlier IRK.
I use the bags often, so they are always useful.
I got mine today. 12 pack of trackers, 2 bottles of sanitizer, & a pair of women’s insoles. My daughter will use the insoles, the trackers will be going in stockings, & the hand sanitizer will get used. So it looks like everything I. Ours will be usable.
Lot like the others. Though I got the fun of having it accidentally delivered to my office (forgot I had that set from a casemates order) so my co-workers got to share in the regret.

Co-workers were actually excited to be gifted TrackR’s even after being told their batteries don’t last very long and there’s no official app (we did confirm SwiftFinder works on Android…but also confirmed it did not work with iPhone.)
And the glitter paint was actually a mild hit with all co-workers gladly accepting a 3 pack to take home.
Now…if only I could think of something useful to do with the iPhone X screen protectors…
@Juggle Exact same IRK arrived at my house. Have a 2.5 yo grandson - we thought we’d try a craft project with the screen protectors (small note in Christmas crayon colors, tissue paper, etc) - may need to put one on the back too. Thought we’d punch a hole and give to immediate family as Christmas tree ornaments. Will let you know how it works out.

Along the same idea as the christmas ornaments (or gift name tags) with the screen protectors, you could make sun catchers to hang in the window If you painted them with gallery glass paint, ink or nail polish. Bottom of the bottle scrap polish would probably work too!

There are no words, Meh. You at least seemed to care about the world, your customers, & maybe even fun. Now it seems fairly clear that you’ve gotten over all of that. Trackers & sanitizers (out-of-date, even) simply suck when that’s it for two IRKs in a row. I remember when I liked this place. I’m just sad.

IRK score 10/10 definitely instant regret, this is the worst!
Can’t figure out how to add photo!
Anybody ever figure out any use for the TrackR’s I plugged in an old android phone to see if I could get it to work, but I couldn’t download the app, that android phone must be too old. But the TrackR DID power on, I can’t imagine the battery would last long though if used in another device.
Solidly mediocre IRK. Men’s size M shirt/jacket that actually fits but isn’t really my idea of fashionable, obligatory dozen Trackrs, new color of craft paint, hand sanitizer, blue IRK bag, and…a kitchen knife sharpener, which I actually needed. Thanks, Meh!
Update: the wife informs me the jacket is in fact a women’s M. I don’t know what that says about me that I fit in it. However I now feel more justified in donating it

No matter how regretful an IRK may be, for me it is all fun and games - I win some, I lose some, but even the losers are good for a chuckle and the anticipation. Granted, I am inked, so depending on how you look at it the cost (financially anyway) is less for me…and I will never regret my Glen tat!!
@cbilyak Being inked takes a lot of the regret out. Possibly because it gets rid of the time commitment to capture that elusive IRK! (Alleviated by the new system, which suited me fairly well as I usually found some things I liked.)

Looking at this thread, I didn’t get lube, a reach-around, or a kiss.
I’ve been with Meh since they were Woot! and IRKs were “Bags of Crap.” I still have a VMP, I’ve bought refurbished stuff that didn’t work, food that was horrible, and had IRKs with nothing I could use.
This is the first time I actually feel taken advantage of. Seriously, what I got makes me feel bad. It’s not even fun.
Did I mention I didn’t even get an IRK bag? What the hell, guys?!

@robpete I was pleasantly surprised by one puffy coat I was sent… it’s a good fit, it fits my style (oxblood red with unnecessary stitching), and over a hoodie, it’s perfect for just around freezing weather.
The other looks even cooler… and is a couple sizes too big. I may keep it for snow shoveling, or toss it in the car for the next time I see someone shivering.
Got mine and we’ll, sometimes you win and sometimes… I got a beige IRK bag, the expired hand sanitizer, king sheets (woot so one of my moms Christmas present) and not only the pack of 30 trackers but the 12 pack of 3 for a total of 66 trackers I can’t use. (Apple family). Which is hilarious because i love my AirTags for my ADHD brain and would have put them all to good use. Now to figure out what to do with them. So better luck next time and I really hope they pay a little more attention in the future and getting hit with two boxes of these things was some dirty pool. Especially as others posted they received none!!!

In the photo that started this thread I got the same purse (which has already walked sort of against my will as I was planning to sell it to get money to buy christmas presents for kids and instead my kid stole it - didn’t even realize it until she was already gone - as she always wants money I can’t even say you got a christmas present early),

Got mine yesterday. I wrapped it in foil and put it under the tree. The wife was curious and wondered why I used all the foil. Curiosity got the best of her and she opened it today.

I can report back that the toaster oven works great. I reheated pizza in it last night for a snack. Even the convection feature worked.

@Kidsandliz I don’t want to, though. Already contacted them twice recently, and don’t want to hassle them to ship a bag I don’t truly need. The responses were adequate, but it feels like kind of an uphill struggle now, like there’s a shift in attitude toward customers in general. Where are the interactive events and interesting products that we had for the first few years? The IRK content diversity has gone away too; everyone seems to be getting the same stuff now.
After their daytime TV stores went mainstream, it feels like that’s all they want to be now.

Shark Rotator Pet Plus Upright Vacuum. Whole irk showed up in the box for this and I was like…no way that’s actually inside. But it was! And then I was like…no way it isn’t a return that doesn’t work. And I haven’t tried it yet but it is packaged as if new, so fingers crossed!
Grooming kit with nail scissors, file, etc. Useful, especially for travel!

My IRK arrived today (Sunday). Not much joy, not worth a photo. A blue bag, probably the best thing in the box. A box of 12 Trackrs (they can’t possibly have any more of these things left in the warehouse). Two expired bottles of hand sanitizer (to go with the several bottles I got in my last IRK). Two pairs of jammy pants that I would actually wear if they were my size, but they aren’t. Much regret, but it’s a crapshoot.
This one made me cry (I don’t cry over stupid shit but I do when I’m stupid) though hey, they remembered the bag this time. 2 hand sanitizers (purchased case before) and a box of unusable trackers; IR streak continues…

You know what? I didn’t get my Meh bag in my Irk. A dozen packs of 3 trackers (batteries questionable; hell, one tracker fell apart in my hands), 2 bottles of hand sanitizer, and a set of some Ziplockish 4-compartment food trays with 4-compartment lids that will come in handy for something sometime.
But no bag!

I’ve been IRKed. 12 Trackers, 2 hand sanitizers, 1 breast milk bottle, 1 blue IRK bag, 1 cardboard box. So, I really paid $30 for the $20 item I ordered, and I got some regret thrown in for free.
Looks like there are a lot of people with unusable TrackRs… Any open source software to use them?
@modhran SwiftFinder for android. You’ll need a case of new 2016 coin batteries; Then, once you get a few devices paired, they’ll work for about 2 weeks before the batteries die

After my first, and last, IRK (which fully lived up to its name), I swore never again. Then the Thanksgiving IRK came along and I thought “it’s only $10. Give them another try.” So now I have my IRK box waiting to be opened on Christmas Day as a fun little family gift. After reading through this thread, I’m worried that the kids might decide it’s finally time to put dad in a home. And I’m only 52!
@donpratt Hopefully the home they choose doesn’t have WIFI or an internet connection and they take your phone away also so you’ll never be able to repeat your mistake again!

@eric1024 I got the Love Corn, too. I’m not a cheese fan, but as my S.O. seemed reluctant to try this stuff, I finally opened one and gave it a little QC test. On a junk-food scale of 0-10 where a 10 is my own home-roast pecans and a 0 is Burger King onion rings, I rated them as a 3. Very meh, not fully horrible.
@werehatrack I 100% agree with this. Interesting snack, seemed decent upon first bite, but then the lingering straight corn aftertaste was strange. I probably won’t eat any more.

I don’t even need to post a picture, the contents of my irk have been posted multiple times, I got the corn nuts, hand sanitizer, trackers with the white mediocre bag option. I’ve been doing this for a long time, and although contents are often similar, I’ve not seen so many exact repeats like this. I feel like the spirit of irks isn’t what it used to be.
