@Collin1000 an 7.5" X 5.5" pocket, 12.5 X 9.5 compartment with 5 random sized pockets, 6.5" X3.5" top cushy pocket with zipper, 22"X13.3" pocket with 3 mini 3"X3" pockets, another 22"X13.3" pocket then two 7"x4.5" pockets, one with no zipper, just mesh. just measured them.
It's actually currently $45 shipped at Amazon, closer to $35 on other sites. Still a good deal. But without pics of the interior I'm not willing to risk it -- already have several bags that didn't quite do the job.
@tlaughner you are aware - as long as you have not used it - you can cancel VMP anytime within a given month and it will automatically credit back to your card, right?
That neato feature sometimes tips the scale to leaving VMP turned on longer than 30 days after a buy for me.
@RedOak it's never a better deal to leave it active. You can only do as well as turning it off at the end of your month and turning it back on at the next purchase. True story.
@stinks Depending on how much you value your time to go it and deactivate it, it's often a better deal to leave it active and get the automatic refund at the end of the month if you didn't use it.
The situation where it would be a bad deal: if in any particular month you only order one thing - then you would have been better off paying the $5 shipping. But if you place zero orders, or many orders, it's okay to just leave it running.
@pennster I'm not sure anyone with time to read comments on the meh forum can argue they have a high replacement value for their time. ;)
But check yourself... If you cancel a month after each purchase each time, you get the days between the end of the month and your next purchase "for free". If you leave it running and buy 20 days later, you just paid for 19 days you didn't use. Whoops.
Again, the best you can do by keeping it running is to break even with cancelling each time. And unless you buy more than once each month, every month (or only buy one thing, EVAH EVAH EVAH for all time), you lose money.
@stinks I happen to agree and do exactly that - turning it off when it expires. I maintain It is a 'neato' feature that you still get your 5 bucks back if you miss the renewal.
But that wasn't my primary point. The point is, you can get your 5 bucks back anytime within the cycle if you have not used VMP.
@stinks that "replacement value of time" (opportunity cost) argument can be overplayed regarding leisure time.
Some folks enjoy playing video games, watching sports, running/biking, or perhaps simply vegetating due to a high pressure job.
I am cheap. Scot cheap. Deep pockets, short arms cheap. It's how I'm wired. This whole thing is a game for me. It is about more than saving dollars. Dollars are simply the markers.
But that wasn't my primary point. The point is, you can get your 5 bucks back anytime within the cycle if you have not used VMP.
So you're proposing the Lazy Man's VMP -- Never cancel until you want to buy something else, then cancel for the refund and immediately sign up again.
Fwiw, the time/worth argument was from @pennster. I was just snarkily mentioning that anyone using meh probably can't authentically use the replacement value argument in the forums. It's self-defeating. ;^)
@rufwork huh? Go back and read what I said. If you miss canceling it by a day or two, you can still get the new cycle VMP cost credited back. Never said it made sense to leave it running.
@RedOak You're right. Sorry, didn't mean to give you credit for figuring out a very clever way to beat, um, meh's men. I'll accept that credit going forward. ;)
I've had other Targus backpacks and been reasonably pleased with their build and durability. The one time I had one break (zipper, maybe?) they had me send it in and they replaced it with the top of the line one that cost twice as much or more.
Definitely buyin' dis shizzle! Have had numerous Targus products, and have never been disappointed in quality. For 15 Washingtons, destitively worth a roll of the dice!
The disclaimer on the sorcery picture said the backpack isn't alive -- that's the "spirit"... break our imaginations right before we buy this backpack...
I already have a Bag of Holding, which holds two laptops + assorted gear and is pretty spillproof with the flap closed, but has two big downsides: 1) not TSA-friendly 2) no wheels.
This appears to be non-TSA-friendly, have no wheels, only hold one laptop and not be spillproof. Big meh here.
@editorkid I see backpacks with wheels in airports all the time. (A good example is the High Sierra AT2.) Travel backpacks aren't designed for balance and long wear like hiking backpacks are -- they're designed for stuff like walking an hour between modes of transit and then stuffing the thing under a seat. You don't want to be going from the E gates to the A gates at CLT dragging a suitcase for a week in Vegas and having to also balance a backpack on your shoulders. Put a wheeled backpack in your non-suitcase hand and you can make that connecting flight a lot easier.
I dont need this bag but like everything else i buy on Meh im a sucker for a bargin and this seems like a very deep discount, and the bag seems well thought our ty Meh
I bought a version of this bag on Meh before and am real pleased by the durability but much less pleased by its ability to expand as I shove more things into it. It's great for a laptop, a book and a few other flat things which is what I use it for now, but when I took it to Texas this last time it was not super great at expanding/closing to fit bulkier things in it as I traversed the state (like clothes, camera, etc.).
I've been looking for a bag to carry my laptop and DJ controller and this bag worked well. I eliminated two bags...one with no padding an now I have only one that I can sling over my shoulder

The backpack is out of this world
@lichme out of this world?
@Land729 Out of a world at least.
@Land729
@lichme I say weigh to go on this deal... It kinda has "a pull on me " tonight for some strange reason
@lichme Sometimes, you gotta just roll the dice...
Yum yum yum yum yum. ¡Delicioso!
How much wiggle room do I have for an ASus rog 17 inch gaming laptop?
@rileyper is that a euphamism for "little people"?
@mike808 "wiggle room" or "ASus rog 17"?
@rileyper In the "open shot" you can see it swallowed my 17" mac book pro. Shot at home.
All those pics and you couldn't even open the bag?
@Thumperchick It's the same pics from the amazon page, so i'm guessing they didn't have any in house?
@Thumperchick The Targus website contains the same totally useless photos. Seriously. Open the backpack!
@axleman1011 Well they could have taken their own pic...
@Thumperchick if they're not willing to show their underwear they must not be proud of it.
@Collin1000 [Insert image of Brad Pitt in "Se7en" with caption "What's in the backpack?!"]
@Thumperchick Ditto. I need a backpack, but I'd like to actually see inside before buying.
@Thumperchick On it. Hold on..... there will be one added soon.
@Thumperchick New 2nd image open. It is a bit rough given the time, but is in there.
@Kylethephotoguy Awesome quick work (that's not an order number). I like the shot of the cute little kid with the huge backback, too.
@RedOak Here you go:
Underwear, a bra, a knit hat, and a super-8 film camera. Bagged and tagged. Rosie wasn't packing for a long trip, it seems.
@sligett Thats my Maddie. Before image replacement:
@Kylethephotoguy cute kid.
@Kylethephotoguy thanks!
@Kylethephotoguy - I came here to say you are wonderful! . . . but you're making your daughter work already? ;-)
@Kylethephotoguy btw - you don't say your adorable daughter isn't included... does this mean the backpack comes with a free child to carry it?
@Thumperchick you have one on the way... Or is it twins now? ;)
@sohmageek don't you jinx me. I'm already tired carrying 1!
@Thumperchick Quintuplets? ;)
@sohmageek if so, you're babysitting. A lot.
I needed a new backpack, so i'm in.
i'll buy one, please slip some extra junk in it from your whorehouse, i mean warehouse...
@DMlivezey it's the sexy gettin ready bag, ooooh yeah, the sexy getting ready bag...
Cubic inches? How heavy compared to similar sized backpacks? Number of inside compartments/sections?
Amazon reviews are useless as are the photos. Grrrrr. I need to know size and compartment info!
If I buy this will I be under 2x gravity...
Dimensions: 22.0 x 13.3 x 2.8?
2.8 inches deep? really?
@netbucks Its not the size that matters, it's how you stuff it in there.
Don't mess with the Ouija board.

Can I get some sort of scale, especially of the interior? I need a new backpack for my classes, but it needs to hold a bajillion books
@WilhelmScreamer There is actually a ton of space, with the new "open shot" you can see it swallowed my 17" macbook pro. lots of tinny pockets too.
@Kylethephotoguy I hope there are lots of small pockets. Not sure how tin helps unless the Martians are upon us.
According to the Amazon review by jungwhan jung (What kind of parent gives their child the same first & last name anyway?) it is "good".
So there's that.
@RedOak
We have enough eyeballs criticizing his sub-mediocre review. I invite others to comment on the "good" and see what other info he can provide.
Finally, a backpack that won't float away.
Well I forgot to cancel vmp so this is how I decided to handle it. yummy-testy-mystic.

@djslack ..."the doggone zipper on mine already seems to be sticking and it hasn't arrived yet"...
untidy-gloomy-pesto
You had me UNTIL 'pesto'.
Pesto??
Definitely buyin' dis shizzle! Have had numerous Targus products, and have never been disappointed in quality. For 15 Washingtons, destitively worth a roll of the dice!
Down to earth deal
Decent if you need a backpack I guess, very Meh otherwise.
The disclaimer on the sorcery picture said the backpack isn't alive -- that's the "spirit"... break our imaginations right before we buy this backpack...
@AttyVette Actually......the proper incantation not included to make backpack alive.
Targus is great but, expensive. In for two.
Yeah....no pictures of the inside....What is Targus hiding?
Gonna have to skip this one.

@kensey Backpacks, real backpacks, don't have wheels, because they're backpacks. "Wheeled backpacks" make no sense at all.
@editorkid Unless you're going down a slide with your backpack on. Then out might be a handy feature.
So, to sum, the bag is alive, correct?
Gravity included!
The bag is saying "Eat Me" in the last pic, innit?
Oh the irony, Saddleback ad. Who doesn't have too many cheap tech carriers alreafy? Get some leather for sixty buvks in here already.
fry's has an hp 15.6" laptop backpack for 9.99 with promo code this week.
I dont need this bag but like everything else i buy on Meh im a sucker for a bargin and this seems like a very deep discount, and the bag seems well thought our ty Meh
@mellowirishgent I'm not a fan of cheap bargin. I prefer more pricy but better tasting callgin.
I would have bought this in a heart-beat, but my wife has banned any more backpacks. Apparently she thinks five is the limit.
I bought one of these through this sale.
I like the form, and it swallows my Dell portable workstation with room to spare.
I do not like that two of the zippers don't seal properly making the bag pretty much useless.
@Comedian Have you contacted Targus for warranty information? According to the specs, they're offering warranty coverage for 1 year from the date of sale.
"An original or copy of a sales receipt from the original Targus authorized sales retailer is required for warranty service. "
1) Is meh authorized? (Seems unlikely.)
2) Even if yes, I have to cover shipping, which will double my investment in this leaking ship.
@Comedian even if you have to return it (which I doubt, but am not certain) you will still be under the retail price of $45 :)
What is happening with yours? I don't see any zipper issues on the one I got?
I've been looking for a bag to carry my laptop and DJ controller and this bag worked well. I eliminated two bags...one with no padding an now I have only one that I can sling over my shoulder
should have bought two of these. waiting for them to be offered again
@djmario28 same, do it meh, we dare you.
