This is a great deal for an electric sit/stand desk, even if it does have a “solid particle board top” and is preassembled except for assembling it. Not much more than you’d pay for a sit/stand top to go on your regular desk, and less than many that you have to crank by hand.
@jmhsrv Yeah-- the desk is pretty nice, so far. Packaging was pretty banged up, and the plastic cover on the motor is cracked. Assembly wasn’t too bad, except the smaller allen key wouldn’t fit the smaller screws, so had to use my own tool.
If you don’t buy an IRK do you still get the $50 refunded to you? If so that takes this desk from $139 down to about $90 which is a steal for an electric standing desk.
@Chronicle@gcolwell For accounts that spend $99.99 in the 11/28/22 Meh-rathon AND purchase an IRK, we will remove $50 before tax is calculated and charge is processed for payment; (shipping charge, if paid, will remain)
It doesn’t say that on the Meh website, which is what I’m gonna go with. It just says:
“GOOD NEWS: If you spend $99.99 (or more) on stuff in this Meh-ration, you’ll be refunded $50. In other words, you get your IRK for free if you buy a bunch of stuff here.”
No ANDs included on the Meh website, the website I’m ordering from.
@Chronicle@gcolwell@jmhsrv To be clear, the $50 is a refund of the $50 spent on the IRK. You must buy the Irk for $50 and spend $100 on the Meh-ration to get the refund.
It doesn’t mention that on meh though, the website I’m ordering the desk from.
All the website stated is:
“If you spend $99.99 (or more) on stuff in this Meh-ration, you’ll be refunded $50. In other words, you get your IRK for free if you buy a bunch of stuff here.”
So, ergo, I spent $99.99 (or more) on stuff in this Meh-ration, therefore I’ll be refunded $50. It doesn’t mention anything about any additional purchases needed on Meh’s website.
I think Meh is going to refund $50 regardless of whether or not something else is bought… but they are kinda unclear about the entire process.
@dave@gcolwell The important clause is where it says “In other words you get your irk for free”. IE, the only thing that you get a $50 refund on is the IRK itself, and then you get that only if you have spent the required amount in the Mehrathon over on meh.com. Trying to rules lawyer your way into something that isn’t what’s described there is just going to get your orders canceled at best. At worst, two pallets of Trackr pixels mysteriously will appear in front of your door. Because they can.
@jmhsrv From the description “The 48” x 24” electric desk…” which makes me think that the width between those legs is about 40"-36" (guessing that those feet are about 4" wide at least, 6" wide at most.
No way am I gonna pay $139 for a desk!! I have desks with drawers [not briefs] & would even use my diner table + I can build a nicer desk than this though it Is a sturdy HD desk!!
@1DisabledWarVet It’s not just a standard desk but instead, a motorized height-adjustable desk. For that, I’ve spent as much as 400 dollars. This is a good deal.
The 48” x 24” electric desk whole piece desktop provides a large and smooth surface area, no gaps and cracks, suitable for placing various monitors and laptops, which can bring you a comfortable experience for work, study, and surfing
Smooth Adjustability:
Through the height adjustment button, you can enjoy the height range of 26.5" to 45.5" to transition from sitting to standing
The lifting process of the sit-stand desk is stable, smooth, and quiet
Stable Structure:
The all-steel frame and solid particleboard table top allow the stand-up desk to bear 154 lbs( max 176lbs)
There are reserved holes and nuts on the back of the desktop to tighten the screw and avoid shaking
Three-Step Super Easy Install:
The stand-up desk is pre-assembled in the package. You only need to install the table legs and the steel pipes on both sides (first step), install the desktop (second step), install the buttons, and connect the cables to use(third step)
This is a great deal for an electric sit/stand desk, even if it does have a “solid particle board top” and is preassembled except for assembling it. Not much more than you’d pay for a sit/stand top to go on your regular desk, and less than many that you have to crank by hand.
Today’s sidedeal illustrates how good a price this was… although if you need smaller, it’s smaller.
Set up my desk over the holiday. It’s wonderful. Works really well.
My suggestion is to use Command strips to mount a power supply on the side pole so you can get power to your desk.
Thanks Meh!
I’m so glad i bought this
The irk sucked the big one, but the desk is amazing
@jmhsrv Yeah-- the desk is pretty nice, so far. Packaging was pretty banged up, and the plastic cover on the motor is cracked. Assembly wasn’t too bad, except the smaller allen key wouldn’t fit the smaller screws, so had to use my own tool.

@Chronicle is the refund automatic?
@Chronicle That’s what I’m trying to find out.
It does say: “GOOD NEWS: If you spend $99.99 (or more) on stuff in this Meh-ration, you’ll be refunded $50.”
@Chronicle @gcolwell For accounts that spend $99.99 in the 11/28/22 Meh-rathon AND purchase an IRK, we will remove $50 before tax is calculated and charge is processed for payment; (shipping charge, if paid, will remain)
@Chronicle @gcolwell ya gotta buy the IRK to get the refund - there is an AND in there
@Chronicle @jmhsrv

@gcolwell @jmhsrv Ahh… Okay so it is Not an actual refund of $50 it’s a free IRK.
@gcolwell Do you work for mercatalyst ? or Meh?
@Chronicle @jmhsrv
Nah, I might just be a sucker who ordered a $140 dollar desk.
But I still expect that $50 refund.
@gcolwell @jmhsrv Well since it’s “free”
/giphy stiff-lonely-front
@gcolwell @jmhsrv Not a sucker I needed a new desk was looking for a standing desk. This was a great price. Too bad it’s not also a $50 cheaper desk .
@Chronicle @gcolwell I bought one as well - good buy!
@Chronicle @gcolwell @jmhsrv To be clear, the $50 is a refund of the $50 spent on the IRK. You must buy the Irk for $50 and spend $100 on the Meh-ration to get the refund.
@dave

@gcolwell @dave is the guy who would know
@dave @gcolwell Dave works for meh, so I think he would know how the refund works.
@dave @gcolwell The important clause is where it says “In other words you get your irk for free”. @dave @RiotDemon
That changes things a lot, and clears up confusion… Still, I wasn’t the only one with the same misunderstanding.
Thanks both of you.
Dave for explaining the Meh’s rules, and RiotDemon for explaining Dave.
@dave @werehatrack
No “rules lawyering” going on. I was genuinely convinced the desk was going $50 off when I bought it, and I wasn’t the only one…
But, I ordered a IRK now, which I guess is going to be free.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Damn, ships fast! Already got mine!
anyone happen to know the width of the space between the legs?
@jmhsrv 48” wide desk, so the answer to you question is probably 44” between legs
@jmhsrv From the description “The 48” x 24” electric desk…” which makes me think that the width between those legs is about 40"-36" (guessing that those feet are about 4" wide at least, 6" wide at most.

This would’ve been good for me if it was a foot narrower. 48" ain’t gonna fit.
@TheFLP that’s what she said…
Emailed support, shipped 12/3 but still not delivered. Sigh.
