I got one from a previous $5 sale. It’s a cool little device! The color display is bright and animated: bloodflow is a live bar meter, and in landscape mode (it auto-rotates in all four directions), a pulse graph draws across the screen like a tiny hospital monitor.
@zerocircle Came here to basically say all of this. For $5 it’s a no-brainer. The backlit color LCD is so good that I at first mistook it for an OLED display and the device itself is very simple, easy to use, works well, and seems durable enough. Even includes the batteries!
I also thought it was an OLED! And I checked the readings against pulse and ox numbers from an Apple Watch — they’re within a point or two of each other. This seems easily reliable enough to tell if you need urgent medical care. (Speaking of which, I also grabbed the $5 infrared thermometer in this Mehrathon.)
@mehvid1@zerocircle Now you’re got me wondering…what kind of display does your unit have on it? Perhaps the type that I saw on SideDeal that looks very similar but has a different display also doesn’t come with batteries.
Got one when it was offered a week ago- very cool little device! Seems accurate. Take a few slow deep breaths and watch your O² sat level rise a couple points…

@DemoMatrix
He found it!
@DemoMatrix haha! I wonder if they offered it just for him, or if it was already in the plans…

@PooltoyWolf @zerocircle Aw, man! The one I got here ~2 weeks ago didn’t include batteries!
