It's Friday. I was hoping for a speaker dock. I thought this site sold speaker docks on Friday. Now I'm disappointed. I only have @lisaviolet to blame.
@lisaviolet You have a point, we all chose to be in this boat together, but with such a Meh product under your belt while on goat duty definitely warrants some kind of pity, ha ha ha.
When will meh learn, most us mehers don't use our condone the use of iOS... why the hell would a company release a device that is iOS only? Make it Bluetooth, and everyone can use it. Even if you only market it as iOS...
@TehMaliron I'm sure they have statistics for the number of people that view meh from ios (they show how many viewed from a phone or tablet, and I'm sure they have operating system info). I bet there are more ios meh members than you think.
@KJTrey Now that you are a member the Baby Arm will pay you a visit while you sleep and put you in the choke hold, escape or it will be your last visit. @lisaviolet is the lucky member of the month.
@KJTrey Purple and No Georgia Red, get used to them in the comments. Some members love those colors more than life itself. Mad props to you for picking up on all that stuff so quickly. Maybe @barney will grace you with his presence if you should be so lucky.
@Stallion Barney is away right now. A dear friend and mentor passed away and she's away from home right now. I've dedicated my scapegoathood to @Barney.
@TehMaliron And only one more episode of SoA. Last season of Justified coming up. Makes me sad. I'm running out of shows I can say to my hubby "Oh, you wouldn't like this" and watch in peace. Although he did like Justified.
@Dickbutt Truly, I can't think of a meh I clicked faster, and it was so unsatisfying: it just flipped, it didn't do the long spin that would have made it worth it.
@Headly Yeah, it's awesome. I am so happy we got an upgrade to the engines this year. Do you happen to know when they'll be moving from steam to diesel? My friend is on that newfangled electric Samsung train, but I'd rather wait until Apple decides it's better.
It's a lot cheaper and actually holds your phone with a sturdy extendo clamp. I use it with my Nexus 5 to play the mobile Sonic 1, 2 and CD ports( FANTASTIC. Lots of care went into them. ) and emulation stuff in general. D-pad is darned good and set up is really simple. Not sure about iOS, but it says it has iCade mode onboard.
@heartny I'm sorry to inform you.. @lisaviolet does not take this 'scapegoat thing' seriously. she will address it in 2015... 2Q (or when she wakes up/logs in)
@Stallion AFAIC, the only horrible Meh products are the ones I want and can't afford. And I'm glad you said "beatings" and not "bleatings". Just sayin'.
If I was the Meh guest buyer today, it would have been a useful stocking stuffer product, and still be iOS compatible. Amazon $39 (New) Meh $5 (Refurbished).
I will say that even with my large hands this fit rather nicely in them, and I've seen way worse game lists.
That said, my favorite SEGA Genesis port game, Gunstar Heroes, is not on the list for reasons I can't comprehend. Why Sonic but not this? Sonic literally only requires one button and a d-pad.
@DaveInSoCal because iOS only, so they can charge more. They not being meh of course. To make any product iOS only, means they've paid Apple their extortion fees, and pass that cost onto the consumer.
@cainegoon "Fixing"? Do you mean "fucking"? 'Cause that's fucked up. I mean "fxxing" for "fucking." This isn't fucking Wxxt. @lisaviolet, how could you let this happen?
i figured that you'd offer something a bit more meh for my 45th birthday... but nope.. we get something that simply won't help with my backgammon, paper toss, or tetris.
Seeing how expensive and shitty Bluetooth controllers are makes me happy to be an Android user. My current mobile gaming setup is a wireless Logitech gamepad, OTG cable, Galaxy Tab Pro, and tons of compatible games and emulators.
Not dissing iOS, Android just works better for me.
@snapster "The current 'Reasons to Love Idaho' photo contest is temporarily closed." If you want reasons we like Idaho, mine is that (although they are grown in all 50 states) the majority of potatoes come from Idaho and I'm a vegetarian and potatoes are a staple food for me.
Came for Funyons. Leaving disappointed again. You guys would probably have sold more bags of those than this meh-tastic thingamabob. At least my VMP would go to good use.
iPhone 5S user here. I'm going to bite, and let me explain why. Warning, incoming wall of text.
As background -- I am somewhat of an import game fanatic (possibly a dying breed). I don't own any handhelds at this point other than my phone/tablet.
The Apple commercial software selection is still significantly better than Android, but it's actually the region locking on Google's Play Store that kills me. Short of downloading and sideloading APKs with Android I've found that (1) hopping onto the Japanese iOS store is almost trivial compared to the Android Play Store equivalent, (2) as it is, a fair number of Japanese games are already available on the US appstore, (3) finally, a lot of JP stuff just doesn't exist on the Play Store (more so than the other way around). Obviously my taste in games may or may not mesh with yours and you might think everything I like is shit, but let's not sweat those details.
This is an MFi controller and will work with any game that supports them, so I'm not too interested in the linked list of games on their website. Word is that of the earliest controllers, the SteelSeries was expensive but likely one of the better ones (those controller shells are so ugly and uncomfortable looking...).
There aren't many games that I feel require a controller, since most games are designed for a smartphone's touchscreen, but there are a few games and specific genres that immediately come to mind -- action RPGs like Monster Hunter, the iOS versions of fighting games like SF4/KOF/SFxT/etc. There are a number of commercial ARPGs available in Japan that I anticipate will be coming stateside at some point in the future, some of which are F2P -- Square Enix in particular has been experimenting and releasing a lot of stuff, much of which is trash, but some of which includes games such as the newly localized releases of classic Dragon Quest games that are as clumsy as ever to play with a touchscreen, as well as re-releases of the Matrix Software remakes of FF3 and FF4. For anyone who enjoyed Secret of Mana, they've also released an F2P ARPG set in that world, but have yet to announce a stateside release (it's been awhile so I'm not really holding my breath at this point).
Hori is supposedly releasing a controller next year but who knows how long that will take. I have read (although obviously not confirmed) that Apple unnecessarily requires certain Apple certified parts to be used in their game controllers, which, despite good intentions, doesn't help at all in jacking up the prices and further demonstrates that they don't know shit about gaming (see also: Game Center displaying real names, no messaging options, etc). But the games are definitely there, even if Jobs was an asswipe who didn't like them.
@pent finally a post as to why someone likes Apple over Android, that has some meat to it. I personally think side loading being so easy is yet another I prefer android. Aside from the free sdk, I think the fact that you have more control over their hardware you own is probably the biggest selling point for Android, for me at least.
A whole lot of haters in here, but and who doesn't like free stuff?
Stealing @snapster's idea above, take a picture of Idaho and make it mediocre, whatever you want that to mean. Whoever I deem has the best one will win one of these.
For all of those saying "why not Bluetooth?" thing is, this controller IS bluetooth. MFi is this certification that Apple does which I suppose helps out devs or something, but to the end user all it really does is give your wallet a good once over. I'm tempted to jump on this hombre, as it's priced near the regular Android version, but I should probably help MFi become irrelevant and abandoned by ignoring its existence. Luckily for me, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite has really great touch controls.

@mediocrebot
@unixrab I didn't know you were toilet trained.
@mediocrebot meh finds a way.
Fat MEH!
Meh. Apple is the devil.
@OnionSoup
@OnionSoup Apple is one of the only companies that is actively fighting for user privacy. Hardly the devil.
At least it's not a speaker dock.
give us Xbox one stuff. I havent bought crap from here since September.
@xEBRONx Might I interest you in a VMP membership..?
These controllers do not appear to be baby arm compatible, for that alone, meh...
@studerc or in the color purple
@clux not a big fan of that movie
@somf69 never seen it
@clux this is the color purple:
.... ish
@unixrab Ah, silly me.
@clux as @dave says "....de nada"
@unixrab where's Barney
@DeuceSevin @clux @unixrab I love purple.
@Barney
I want a MFI controller but this one is awful.
It's Friday. I was hoping for a speaker dock. I thought this site sold speaker docks on Friday. Now I'm disappointed. I only have @lisaviolet to blame.
@cengland0 Agreed, @LisaViolet now come around and say you are sorry for this mess!
@cengland0 owns no speaker docks. Probably has a Micro$oft 640K phone
@Stallion I'm not sorry. You deserve this. I take the blame, but I'm not one little teeny tiny eensy weenie bit sorry,. So there.
@lisaviolet You have a point, we all chose to be in this boat together, but with such a Meh product under your belt while on goat duty definitely warrants some kind of pity, ha ha ha.
@Stallion Close your eyes. Breathe in (count - one. two. three. four. five. six. seven. eight. nine. ten). Breathe out. Be the Meh.....
Boo iOS
@outz ... @lisaviolet bid me say to you:
A shitty controller isn't going to make bad games any better. Meh.
Meeeeehhhhhhhh
Meh. I've held this controller and it's too small for my hands.
@marvelljones
@marvelljones it looks tiny in the last "pew pew pew" photo.
This is the worst item I have ever seen for sale on the internet in my 38 years on this earth.
@phatmass ahem...then you must not do a lot of online shopping. 8-)
@alpine @phatmass ... no.. @phatmass is correct.
@unixrab Then you also do not do a lot of online shopping.
@phatmass definitely the worst Tim I've seen on meh in 5 years.
@unixrab @phatmass http://www.amazon.com/Natural-Harvest-collection-semen-based-recipes/dp/1481227041/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417783672&sr=8-1&keywords=cum+cookbook
@phatmass Yeah, the only game I know of that's worth playing on the ipad is Hearthstone and you're not going to use a controller for that. FAIL.
@DeuceSevin Yeah, Tim sucks for sure.
@bruhhhhhhh Thanks you for that! My secret Santa job is now done!
@bruhhhhhhh Looks like I have some cooking to do!
@cengland0 riiiiight.
iCrap again? Mehhhhh*gag*hhhhh
@kebuchan you made @steveJobs cry
@unixrab I find that unlikely.
NO ANDROID? yowza.
Beware iOS lovers, only the newest Apple devices will bring you gaming worthy of this controller
@TheAlmighty1 ............. it just works
@unixrab Don't be ridiculous. Is Apple supposed to go back to their old operating systems and add the same features?
@TBoneZeOriginal I like being ridiculous.
oh meh.... oh meh..... oh meh........
-_-) is it steel..?
When will meh learn, most us mehers don't use our condone the use of iOS... why the hell would a company release a device that is iOS only? Make it Bluetooth, and everyone can use it. Even if you only market it as iOS...
@TehMaliron I'm sure they have statistics for the number of people that view meh from ios (they show how many viewed from a phone or tablet, and I'm sure they have operating system info). I bet there are more ios meh members than you think.
Typed from my iPhone
@kadagan I bet there are more Windows Phone users than you think.
@TehMaliron "most us mehers don't use our condone the use of iOS" - yeah, I'm going to need a source for that.
@harder https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lKie-vgUGdI
@TBoneZeOriginal while not definitive, because only ~1300 participated, and who knows, maybe android users are more appt to take a survey, there was this https://meh.com/forum/topics/is-your-household-a-hotbed-of-platform-mixing-between-ios-and-android Not only that, but I'm sure the sales of Apple only speaker docks, compared to Bluetooth speakers could suggest something as well. I'd be interested in seeing Meh's browser hit counts.
@TehMaliron If you add up the bars that include iOS at all, then the majority do accept iOS in some way.
@TehMaliron Android is a bag of hurt.
This is all sorts of meh.
Apple.... Meh.
@Zestible embrace your inner Zen -
So does this really not support android? Seems inferior for something bluetooth?
First, the price is still too high. Second, it's IOS only. Meh.
@Yakuman
Nice job with the Asteroids Game, oh and this item blows... and those are some hairy ass arms too
@somf69 there were ass arms in that photo? I totally missed it!
@somf69 yeah, there's a reason I'm a software developer and not a professional hand model
I'd rather buy a dock. Meh
Wait... What? Is it not Friday?
@Alien most be Apple only product Friday. Just doesn't have the same ring to it.
I just joined this community, can someone fill me in on these inside jokes like "baby arm compatible" and "@lisaviolet ruins everything"?
@KJTrey Now that you are a member the Baby Arm will pay you a visit while you sleep and put you in the choke hold, escape or it will be your last visit. @lisaviolet is the lucky member of the month.
@lisaviolet is just December's scapegoat. Don't worry, it's her fault you don't get it.
@KJTrey - Welcome. meh has at least two disembodied baby doll arms haunting their offices, and they sometimes show up in the product photos.
@KJTrey - Also, every month we vote on someone to be the scapegoat of the month, then heap blame and abuse on them for every perceived misfortune.
@KJTrey apparently... @scapegoat (aka @lisaviolet sleeps a lot... ) typical
Thank you @KDemo. And what about the color purple? Seems to have made an appearance in the comment sections the last few times as well.
@unixrab I sleep a lot because I'm an old lady, not because I'm a goat. Bleeeat!!!
@aWes0m3 And you'll never get it. Bleeat!
@lisaviolet I must be an old lady too..
@TehMaliron
@lisaviolet for a goat, you have great tastes in gifs. Finally catching up on BrBa, and just saw that episode last night.
@TehMaliron And only one more episode of SoA. Last season of Justified coming up. Makes me sad. I'm running out of shows I can say to my hubby "Oh, you wouldn't like this" and watch in peace. Although he did like Justified.
@lisaviolet @Stallion @KJTrey I love purple.
I have never meh'd harder at a product before. MEH
@Dickbutt Truly, I can't think of a meh I clicked faster, and it was so unsatisfying: it just flipped, it didn't do the long spin that would have made it worth it.
iDon't do iAnything...iMeh!
@Kyser_Soze It's a good train. You should get on.
@Kyser_Soze
@Headly Yeah, it's awesome. I am so happy we got an upgrade to the engines this year. Do you happen to know when they'll be moving from steam to diesel? My friend is on that newfangled electric Samsung train, but I'd rather wait until Apple decides it's better.
God dammit meh, you've got me so paranoid about hidden things all over your website, what is that smudge? secret fuku? launch codes? just a smudge?
@axleman1011
@unixrab you are not helping.
@axleman1011 oops it's not in my contract... see @lisaviolet
@unixrab lisaviolet's fingers are covered in glue and glitter at this time.
Meh! These always looked nice but are way too expensive, even at $45 bucks. I have this puppy from iPega
http://amzn.com/B00GNXMOCU
It's a lot cheaper and actually holds your phone with a sturdy extendo clamp. I use it with my Nexus 5 to play the mobile Sonic 1, 2 and CD ports( FANTASTIC. Lots of care went into them. ) and emulation stuff in general. D-pad is darned good and set up is really simple. Not sure about iOS, but it says it has iCade mode onboard.
Love the SteelSeries eye meh face today though!
@Dash I bought a few of these and really liked them. No analog sticks, but good for, ...ahem, ..."other" uses ;-) https://stacksocial.com/sales/the-nes30-bluetooth-controller-a-gaming-classic-reinvented
Idaho, huh? Must be them poor souls in Mountain Home
@grumpasaurus iDaho
No pagination. MEH.
@aWes0m3 hey now
Idahoans love this thing according to the map.
Doesn't work for those with a pirate hook. 1/5 stars.
@unixrab You thought this needed to be at the top of the thread AND here, huh?
@Thumperchick he must have some odd fetish.... ewww
@Thumperchick yes
@Enigma & ... yes
Never clicked Meh so fast in my life
Is pressue the next gluten? I want to be sensitive to the next big thing!
So THAT's Idaho! I always wondered...
No purple, no Georgia Red, no baby arm, no speaker dock. For that alone, meh. Hopefully @lisaviolet can address these issues.
@heartny I'm sorry to inform you.. @lisaviolet does not take this 'scapegoat thing' seriously. she will address it in 2015... 2Q (or when she wakes up/logs in)
@unixrab
@heartny Nothing to address, really. All I can say is it's my fault and I'm okay with that.
@heartny I love purple.
Where the F is @lisaviolet!!! A scapegoat which can not be poked and beaten is no fun. I miss @thumperchick.
@Stallion aww, I'm missed!
@Thumperchick But our aim is getting better.
@Stallion
@lisaviolet About time you wake up and come have some fun, and take some beatings for this horrible Meh product! PS, Nice Gif!
@Stallion AFAIC, the only horrible Meh products are the ones I want and can't afford. And I'm glad you said "beatings" and not "bleatings". Just sayin'.
Well meh, you were close! We need another wireless XBox 360 controller with a usb receiver, for windows.
If I was the Meh guest buyer today, it would have been a useful stocking stuffer product, and still be iOS compatible. Amazon $39 (New) Meh $5 (Refurbished).
...and it IS purple.
@PilotJim I love purple.
@harrison
There is a speaker dock in the photo. They couldn't leave it out on a Friday.
I feel like this should be closer to $6. I don't understand why it should be so expensive.
@DaveInSoCal because iOS only, so they can charge more. They not being meh of course. To make any product iOS only, means they've paid Apple their extortion fees, and pass that cost onto the consumer.
Not compatible with Candy Crush so it's not worth anything to anybody I know with an iDevice as a stocking stuffer. Meh.
Gawd, what happened to you guys? It's just fxxing mediocre!! Uh-oh.. wait a mo.......
@Noddy93 $45 on your 45th. Meh.
@brianmc1975 that was almost enough to make me click the buy button
$45 for a bluetooth controller? does it give the user a handy?
@eblade it's not even Bluetooth, mfi, Apple only. Explains the price.. I bet it comes with a nice scarf though!
@JonT we should award our own prizes for entries to this contest:
https://www.reasonstoloveidaho.com
@snapster "The current 'Reasons to Love Idaho' photo contest is temporarily closed." If you want reasons we like Idaho, mine is that (although they are grown in all 50 states) the majority of potatoes come from Idaho and I'm a vegetarian and potatoes are a staple food for me.
@cengland0 ok I'm declaring myself the winner here then.
@snapster Congratulations. What did you win? An all expense paid trip to meh headquarters in Texas. Oh wait....
@cengland0 1,000 SteelSeries Stratus iOS MFI Wireless Gaming Controllers. D'OH!
Came for Funyons. Leaving disappointed again. You guys would probably have sold more bags of those than this meh-tastic thingamabob. At least my VMP would go to good use.

@Fej boo - back of the class you go. iOS MFI FTW ;)
@snapster http://buy.thegameklip.com
PS3 controller beats any dedicated smartphone controller, full-stop.
the meh-est i've seen in awhile
The number of butthurt Android fanboys in here is too damn high.
@TBoneZeOriginal not butt hurt, concern for the well being of our fellow man (or woman).
Been looking at MFi controllers for awhile, perfect timing. Just ordered.
Hey y'all.
A whole lot of haters in here, but
and who doesn't like free stuff?
Stealing @snapster's idea above, take a picture of Idaho and make it mediocre, whatever you want that to mean. Whoever I deem has the best one will win one of these.

@JonT
@hallmike I GUESS WE HAVE A WINNER
WooHoo!! Best in show! lol

@jrwofuga That's my boy!
I love purple.
