@RiotDemon You could figure out all the same things yourself in a couple of months, or let them save you the effort for a mere 40€. Seems to me a fair value for their hard work and packaging up the info for you to do the rest.
I’m sure 40€ is cheaper and more likely to result in you having one of your own, than your chances at bidding on the next one they’re making to auction off. I don’t think it will sell for less than 40€.
@RiotDemon No DHD. Kristian’s has plans for a DHD included and the wormhole effect lighting.
It isn’t a either/or deal or a contest. Creating both are amazing achievements. Kudos to both for building and sharing their work (to different degrees).
Not everyone is fortunate to be in a position to give away their hard work as a gift. And none of us are certainly entitled to insist they give their work away. If you are, please start with universities and landlords before jumping on some person that made a really cool replica prop from the Greatest Science Fiction Series Of All Time who isn’t able to or chooses for whatever personal reasons, not to share their hard work with the world for free.
@mike808 I did not say that they had to give it away for free. Why do you always have to be so combative? 40 euros for plans that aren’t complete is a gamble. If you want to pay that much, that’s up to you. I added a decent option for someone that doesn’t want to take the gamble.
@bdb@mike808 The Tube was out fer an hour yer says? Why back in my day when our tube went out it’er take days for the repair man to fix’er! I remember your great grand pappy telling us stories of how the world was like before there was color and there were only 3 channels to subscribe to with no notifications of new content!
@bdb@kuoh A subscription to the Tv Guide magazine or your Sunday newspaper was all you needed to find out about new content, or as they used to call the non-new content, “reruns”.
@bdb@kuoh But he would rent his eyeballs and watch ads to get to watch his Lawrence Welk Show for free, right?
Because he didn’t believe in paywalls or that the time and effort other people spent entertaining him was worth anything. Are you saying he wanted socialized media? Was he some kind of Commie? 'Murica!

I think the Goa’uld address tablet is a nice accessory.
It’s a shame it only dials 7-symbol Milky Way addresses, and can’t dial 8-symbol Atlantis or Andromeda adresses, or the 9-symbol SGU ship. I guess that would require too much power.

40€ for some plans that they admit are not complete. Ouch.

The video you linked is not available.
@bdb Just watched it. Was this during The Great YouTube Outage the other day?
@bdb I noticed that also (still not working for me) but here’s a link to the project page. This is so, so awesome.

@mike808 I blame @jaybird for the pathetic giphy. I do think the stargate you posted is pretty freakin sweet. I was going for the Darth Vader quote…
/giphy Darth Vader impressive
@jaybird @mike808 not much better…still jaybird’s fault
@kykazaa I agree. Definitely @jaybird’s fault. And all is forgiven with the Vader giphy.
