I have some of these that I’m currently using to control the lights and heat lamp in a coldframe around a tropical plant while I’m away from the house. Like them so far.
@DinsdaleP13 Make sure you’re only trying to connect to the 2.4GHz SSID. If your AP/router uses the same SSID for both bands, you may need to temporarily disable the 5GHz or use different SSIDs and remember to connect the phone to the same SSID before attempting to configure the device.
@kuoh I use the different SSID’s for both bandwidths. I have the 5G one named (Wireless) 5G. I’ve connected the phone to the 2.4 before trying to connect them. I’ve even forwarded the ports the manual suggested I forward, to make it to connect. I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
@coryczorna@kuoh I’m not even sure I need to forward ports outside of trying to control it when I’m not connected to wifi. Still can’t get the damn things to connect to my router at all.

It appears that using one of these will block both outlets on the wall plate.
If so, everyone who designed and approved this gadget should find a different line of work.
Or, maybe I’m missing something.
Only plug-in device I want on a schedule would be a space heater… and I have doubts these would like 1200~1600W coursing through them.
@pakopako 10 amps max. You shouldn’t go over 1000w to be safe.
Ordered these a few weeks back. Can’t get them to connect to my wifi at all.

@DinsdaleP13 @kuoh What ports did you have to forward??? I don’t see any instructions for that. I’ve had nothing but trouble with these damn things!

@DinsdaleP13 @kuoh Yep, they are garbage as far as I’m concerned. I’ve tried several different routers with no luck.
@coryczorna @kuoh Same. I might contact support in the app when I get home, but I don’t really have high hopes.
