There’s a whole world out there of collectors and people that photograph their toys. I used to be scared, but now I’m really intrigued…like 4chan’s toy board.
Thank you for the write up on the legendary Glen Campbell. I was born in 1968, the same year that Wichita Lineman hit the charts. I casually followed his music and career, but I gained a renewed appreciation for him far too late, after his Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Sure, he had his demons (no thanks to Tanya Tucker), but the loss of this super star was not so gentle on my mind. May he finally rest in peace.
the disney pieces actually go with the disney infinity video game world - we have the kylo ren figure and several others, both from star wars and from other movies. they’re actually really nice little figures and we have them displayed with the rest of our toy collection. i’d buy this but $20 for the two figures we don’t have that i feel “eh” about is too many dollars.
@jerk_nugget The Anakin and Obi-Wan figures are way cooler than the prequels deserve, really. If I hadn’t already loaded up on Star Wars spaceships on May the Fourth, this would be tempting.
I got a different meaning from “I’m Not Gonna Miss You”. The lyrics seem to allude to him losing his memory and losing touch with reality. He won’t know how much he hurts her … He’s still here, but he’s gone … He won’t miss her (because he won’t remember her). My husband has dementia. He is near the stage where Glen’s documentary began.
@tngrannyd Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men became popular while I was taking care of my mom who had Alzheimer’s, and I thought it was spot on.

@moondrake my mom had Alzheimer’s as well. She passed from a fall in the nursing home before it killed her but she didnt always recognize me. I hope this will not be the memory i leave for my children.
