It has been nearly 13 years since Fountains Of Wayne released their pop-rock anthem Stacy’s Mom, about a teenager who was obsessed with the mother of his high school sweetheart.
In the video for the 2003 song, Rachel Hunter played Stacy’s bikini-clad mum, stealing all the attention away from her daughter.
But over a decade on, has Stacy managed to overshadow her cougar mother?
Well, the actress who played Stacy, Gianna Distenca, was pretty difficult to find, but we did some digging and discovered that the blonde is now an artist and sculptor operating under an entirely different name.
Gianna, now 26, seems to have taken on the name Dispenza instead and has several art websites.
However, an old Devianart account cites her name as Distenca – and there’s no mistaking those girl next door looks.
Miss Dispenza is now a successful artist and sculptor, and moved to Beirut, Lebanon in 2013 with her boyfriend.
In various interviews, Gianna neglects to mention her video star past, but discusses her nomadic youth, which saw her living in Mexico, California, Switzerland and Italy all before she left her teens.
At the age of 15 – about a year after filming the Stacy’s Mom video, Gianna – who is Sicilian by blood – she moved away from home to Lugano, Switzerland, where she began to study art.
Speaking to Sweven, Gianna told of her impressive educational background: "I somehow managed to attend four different universities. After high school I moved first to Italy and studies at SACI in Florence for a few months where I was introduced to sculpture and was lucky enough to work in marble.
“Then I moved back to the States and studied liberal arts for a year in Colorado, followed by two more universities in California. In the end, I graduated from the San Francisco art Institute with a BFA in sculpture.”
As well as working as an artist, Dispenza also works with refugee children at a volunteer centre in Beirut.
This might be my favorite Mad Ape Den.
@ConAndLibrarian The lyrics are better than the original.
@ConAndLibrarian
I like “thy”, but “UR” and “yer” might also be OK. “w/o”, though, seems to be treading on thin ice, mad-ape-den-wise.
@UncleVinny Agreed, but still awesome.
@UncleVinny
@UncleVinny I had the same thought, and my solution hails from Philly: “wit out”. You’re welcome.
I love how these karaoke’s make me actually think about what the real lyrics to the song are.
I hope no one at Mediocre was responsible for this one:
Man, I wish
@matthew It certainly has a je ne sais quoi mystique.

I don’t know what it is about Irk that makes me think he probably was into the older ladies as a teen.
