Spreading the Meh far and wide
19Last night, I placed the first of the ten Meh stickers I got during the birthday bash earlier this year. It’s on the front of the pick-up counter inside my local Tijuana Flats restaurant, and looks right at home amongst their other wacky decals.

Somebody needs to tell Tijuana Flats that the 80’s wants their beanie babies sticker back…I guess it just adds to the kitsch
@therealjrn Maybe her husband is from the 80’s.
@mehcuda67 @therealjrn Yeah those are some freakin cornball stickers.
@mehcuda67 @therealjrn @UncleVinny That’s kinda the point.
@therealjrn that was def the 90s and 2000s. I know I was born in 85 and grandma didn’t start her stockpile of beanie babies till I was old enough to remember, then start receiving them as gifts when she divested them. Heart shaped protective tags and all
@unksol How many did grandma give you?
@therealjrn idk. I have quite a few. Pick a beenie baby from the stash for your birthday/Christmas was a secondary present for a while. Not saying we didn’t enjoy them. Id have to go to the stuffed animal bin to count.
@therealjrn @unksol I kept a few of mine, most notably Howl the Wolf. I still have his poem memorized:
When the Moon is round and bright,
I howl and howl all through the night.
But don’t be scared and run away;
I’m calling out “Who wants to play?”
@PooltoyWolf @therealjrn I remember no poems but the slinky snake was cool. It’s not like they were really ever worth anything just another stuffed animal. She had a lot though because there were over 10 of us kids between nephews and nieces. And sometimes we all got one. Or friends got one lol. They turned into party favors at one point I think. Let’s just say she had “too many”. In a cool sort of way
@therealjrn @unksol Ah yes, Hissy the Snake. I still have him too…I like how he can be coiled with his head at the top or bottom.
Great job!
@llangley Adorable shep
