I wanted to see if people that got this wanted to try to collaborate to get the puzzle completed. So I say spoilers may be contained here. I'm not the best at these. But I shall post what I got later tonight.

Meh does socks better though.

Even though I didn't order this item in the end, I know how much they like using languages (like Hebrew) in these puzzles.

- @FroodyFrog I have a hard time with modern typefaces (and was spoiled with abundant pointing), but I studied just enough Hebrew to be dangerous but mostly useless.

  I can vaguely understand numerous languages, but most of what i know involves curses. I guess it's because when you pick up certain words, if someone is looking at you threateningly, you pick up the context...

I'll try to post the barcode that was on the back of my envelope tonight. When scanned, it gave me 31010436. A quick google search tells me that has something to do with the disabled population of Turkey in 1965...

EDIT: like the pic @jml326 posted above except his scanned as 9781434701923. I couldn't get night 2 to scan from my monitor.

  When i use my phone, i get numerous results depending on how much my phone picks up.
  
  When i use onlinebarcodereader.com , it scans the whole code, and returns this:

Pro-tip: Everything can be a clue. Be especially careful when opening each envelope or package. They've been known to hide clues in the postage and in and around the envelope.

Good luck everybody! I ordered the gifts for my girlfriend and will follow the best I can. But last year I found that my brain/life does not operate in any way that can help in solving these puzzles - well, at least not as fast as the redditors were going... So I don't think I'm going to try this year :/

For those that didn't follow it last year here is the end game: somebody was just lurking on the reddit site where the collaborative solving was going down, not contributing to the solving (that I know of), until the solution was discovered. They then went and took the "good" prizes (expensive scotch and some custom cards, maybe more that I'm not remembering) before the main team that really solved it could get to the island.... pretty lame ending, if I got all my details right... Not trying to dissuade you from trying to solve it, just saying that the forums CAH set up for this purpose might be a better, more private place for collaboration...

- @primrosewater My daughter went on a road trip to visit her square foot. She only had the GPS in her phone with her. She knows she got within 3 meters of her square foot, but not precisely which square foot it was. So she planted her flag, took a picture, then unplanted her flag.
