I had never had this but was looking for a recipe to use up my hot peppers. This is my new favorite thing. Spicy hot honey. Basically honey infusion of heat.
@OldCatLady I made 24 oz but have ton of hot peppers I might make more.
So far I have put on griled cheese , pulled pork, roasted vegetables, roasted potatoes, eggs, cheddar cheese.
@mschuette There’s a local chain around Philly called Snap Custom Pizza that’s similar to Mod. I much prefer it. Their dough is more of an actual pizza dough, not that ridiculously thin cracker tasting dough that Mod uses. I have half a pizza sitting in my fridge for lunch tomorrow that uses hot honey. This one:
Hot Little Honey - San Marzano Tomatoes, Spicy Pepperoni, House Made Fresh Mozzarella, J’s Hot Honey
My most popular hot sauce, I call “Sweet Revenge.”
It has mango, pineapple, and honey. It’s got more bite than I want it to, but that comes with the peppers that I use. Great on fish or poultry, any white meat really. I might have to try it with some tofu stir-fry for the veegs out there.
I have a handful mason jars of local honey I infused with smoked Ghost peppers and Carolina Reaper peppers that is great for a sweet and spicy addition anywhere.
I’ve also used that honey infusion to make a tasty hot-sauce with apple cider vinegar,dried figs, piloncillo, fresh ginger, and extra ghost and reaper peppers. Sweet and spicy is my favorite taste profile.
It’s been popular on some FB charcuterie groups. How much of it did you make, and how do you use it?

MOD Pizza has something called Mike’s Hot Honey they drizzle on some pizzas. One of my favorite toppings there. Not sure how widespread they are.

I thought all honey was spicy.
@yakkoTDI That’s the bees.
Hey, where’s all the NSFW GIFs that this topic practically begs for?

I haven’t made it yet but I really want to. Sounds delicious!
Had a burger recently on a waffle bun with a spicy honey glaze. Was far better than I had expected.
