Blecchhhh. No fricking way, Meh. You guys are scraping the bottom of the barrel now. Just stuff all of the past 3 weeks worth of stuff into IRKs, and be done with it!
I was really excited about this, but when Amazon reviews brought up video latency, it was a no from me. I watch stuff as much as I listen and even a little latency makes me go wonkers. Did anyone see if Sony has addressed this?
@boardsandcords@cbl_wv Isnât bluetooth itself is inherently latent, all that encoding, transmitting, receiving, decoding and D/A conversion? I don;t think Iâve seen a true sound-synced video using bluetooth audio since it came into being. And donât get me started on HDMI âŚ
/giphy latency
@boardsandcords I do not have any noticeable latency using these to watch videos on a Galaxy S10. I did have to use the Sony Headphones app to switch the headphones to âPriority on Sound Qualityâ. With the default of âPriority on Stable Connectionâ there was a good 500~700 ms delay.
In what category were they the Top Pic at CES? My guess is the sliding door of the case design. I will give you $5.00 for the case and use it for my Bose Active NC headset.
In the âgood newsâ category, my $22 Braven Bridge bluetooth speaker from Meh proved to be a home run. I waited for the 50th speaker from Meh to finally break down & buy one, and surprisingly it is awesome!
AhhhâŚoverpriced garbage sold on meh that are now only slightly overpriced due to poor reviews. Glad to see weâre getting something new. Unfortunately, my $20 audio peets meet all my expectations already. Also, these are almost as ugly as AirpodsâŚbut at least they donât look like you just finished a rambunctious glory hole encounter.
yeah me too Mr. Cheapskate strikes again ⌠surprised they havent sold out by now. its how i found the deal via his tweet , love that guy ⌠although need to check my spam filter because MEh should have emailed me , grrr my IT guy
Most of the negative reviews have to do with calls being mono-only in the left ear. Not an issue for me 'cause the only people that call me nowadays are scammers from India
My rowkin ascent that I got here work great with my samsung s8 I will be staying with those. The other Rowkins that they are selling over on morning save which I also have will not pair with each other.
So I just got my buds in the mail and it looks like the right headphone is not working, it wont turn on⌠I went through the troubleshooting guide from sony. Anyone else having this issue?
@kunal2212 Hey, I had the same problem at first, but solutionâs actually pretty simple: the right bud needs to remain clipped into the charging case while pairing. Once you get the left bud paired, take the other out, and theyâll work. If the right one is out of the charging case during pairing, youâll only get sound through the left.
@dseanadams I just tried pairing over bluetooth and NFC with the right bud still in the case and no luck. The left bud connects fine but one I remove the right bud after pairing it does not turn onâŚ
@kunal2212 Hmmm, Iâm sorry to hear that. My only other suggestion would be to make sure itâs really down and clicked into place in the charging case (a red light will come on). But if itâs still not coming on, Iâm not sure what the issue would be, so you might want to contact support. Mine are definitely a little finicky, though, so Iâd play with them a little more.
@dseanadams I called sony support earlier today to ask them their advice and they determined that I needed a replacement. I got the return label shortly after. So hopefully I can get a new pair that works. Thanks again for your advice.
Not sure what all the griping is about with these headphones. Great sound quality for the price, and they stay secure in my ear during runs. The noise cancellation is great for the size, and competes with my Bose QC35 IIâs. Overall have been pretty satisfied with these so far, and the price here on Meh seems fair for what youâre getting.
The case is a bit bulky, but not bad. The earbuds themselves are pretty light and donât look that bad. Definitely not âfashion-forwardâ, but not bad. I would recommend these for use at the gym, on runs, and whenever you want to get in the zone and stay there, but donât want to bust out your larger over-the-ear headphones.
I also give them thumbs up, they sound pretty damn good as long you keep your expectations in check in that they are bluetooth earbuds. I briefly had the JBL tune 120ws wireless buds which are $100, and these sound quite a bit better. Ended up returning the JBLs. These are more comfortable also. No noticeable lag with video either. So far, so good.
The Sony Earbuds wont pair to each other only connects to the Left Earbud. I tried looking for an update online, no update I get an error when trying it to run the update on a Samsung S7 and Samsung Note 9. I still have to find time to reach out to Sony Technical support or customer service. Ugh, suck deez nutz
Updated software through the app, supports Google Assistant now! (and Alexa but donât care). Even better! Sorry vpanther72 yours was defective, no problem with mine.
@inquen My replacement buds just arrived from Sony and they sent me the blue version of the headphones which was a pleasant surprise. The new buds seem to be working correctly and the quality is pretty good. If you have not tried to contact Sony directly to get a return set I would give that a shot.
OK for music; OK for phone calls. Crap for movies or games due to a pronounced delay in receiving audio. Bluetooth connection constantly drops and the battery only lasts a little over an hour. Complete garbage that solidifies my opinion of Sony consumer electronicsâŚexception being the Playstation which seems to be built well.
Easy enough to pair and set up. These buds fit in my ear well, and have great noise cancellation for the price. In a busy gym, I did notice a lot of interference and bluetooth connection issues while walking around the gym, compared to my experience using Apple Airpods.

Oontz oontz cant hear you
3 stars of nope.
Nice.
@harveydanger Nice, what? Are you implying this is a good deal?? Really? Earbuds at over $50 (nearly $70)? With a 3-hour battery life? Sheesh.
@cbl_wv @harveydanger but theyâre truly wireless, as opposed to some wireless earbuds which actually have Fuckin wires!!
@cbl_wv Saying âniceâ to the number 69 is a common joke on the Internet.
Thanks, but no.
I have enough voices in my head as it is. I just wish they all spoke English or didnât stutter.
Almost had meâŚbut the reviews on Amazon were killers.
Be safe with your ear buds or ear friends. The last thing you want is hearing aids.
@wonidejack Yeah but you can get bluetooth hearing aids now. Rock on
Blecchhhh. No fricking way, Meh. You guys are scraping the bottom of the barrel now. Just stuff all of the past 3 weeks worth of stuff into IRKs, and be done with it!
@cbl_wv And already youâve sold $1,250 worth of these things? I guess you guys have pegged your audience, which does not include me. Ugh.
I was really excited about this, but when Amazon reviews brought up video latency, it was a no from me. I watch stuff as much as I listen and even a little latency makes me go wonkers. Did anyone see if Sony has addressed this?
@boardsandcords Of course thereâs latency, and no, Sony hasnât addressed it. Boo, hiss, lag-lag-lag.
@cbl_wv Maybe if youâre such a weeaboo that you watch even non-anime subbed, it would be fine?
@boardsandcords @cbl_wv Isnât bluetooth itself is inherently latent, all that encoding, transmitting, receiving, decoding and D/A conversion? I don;t think Iâve seen a true sound-synced video using bluetooth audio since it came into being. And donât get me started on HDMI âŚ
/giphy latency
@boardsandcords @cbl_wv @stolicat Supposedly earbuds that use the aptX-LL codec have close to zero latency, but Iâve not tried any of them for myself.
@boardsandcords Bluetooth always does, to some degree. It has as much to do with your phone/PC/source as it does with the headphones.
Roast the peppers then dice, dice some onion, dice the tomato, stir together with some lime juice and salt and cumin.
I dunno, I just made that up. Does it sound good?
@UncleVinny not bad - you forgot the onion and tequila âŚ
@stolicat onion is ingredient two, silly goose! Do people really put a splash of tequila in salsa?
@UncleVinny oh, that onion!
yes, tequila in salsa. And beer. and white wine. and vodka. Itâs been done âŚ

The Sony wf-1000xm3 is the high-end latest model that just came out (though retailing for $229) : https://www.theverge.com/2019/7/5/20682334/sony-wf-1000xm3-wireless-earbuds-hands-on-preview-features
These are appropriately mediocre.
Ummm I can buy one airpod for that price
Iâve seen these before.
@blaineg ohh could we get daily downloads from sony with these. maybe we will get spiderman directly into our ears . i need that
@Vivaporu Itâs a cool upgrade, but there are certain side effects.

@goldnectar oh do you have link to those peets , googled and only came up with the coffee brand , LOL
@Vivaporu Sorry, got the name wrong. Itâs SoundPEATS not audiopeets. It looks like the price has increased, but here is the Amazon link:https://www.amazon.com/SoundPEATS-Wireless-Bluetooth-Headphones-Earphones/dp/B07HK8F3PM?imprToken=9DZyjYf7jY-pFPcqZ4S3uA&slotNum=3&SubscriptionId=AKIAIPK5F55TNVMRHSZQ&tag=bgwr1b-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B07HK8F3PM
I bought it new for $20.69 on ebay back in April.
Wow, thatâs quite the long link. I believe there is a newer model out so perhaps you should research and consider that.
@goldnectar @Vivaporu Soundpeats are outstanding for the costâŚ
Why does it look like a medical device?
Wow I never thought the day would come that I would say, these do support AACâŚ
