According to the BBC, Hansard was killed in a single-vehicle crash in his home city of Dublin on Wednesday morning. The accident was reported to emergency services around 4:30 a.m. and police are now calling for witnesses.

@heartny she wrote in her memoirs a year or two ago that she predicted her lifestyle (depression and drinking) wouldn’t have her live long past 40. It’s a sobering admission. And given that her husband and daughter are near a warzone, is also kind of strange to comprehend.
It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a village to keep a person maintained. Even the most hyper independent hermits know to come down (or dig up) and do business with the rest of society. As difficult as that can be sometimes.
