Regal brought Sonic back to the movie theater as a classic for $5. There’s a bunch of other movies until the first week of September. Jaws, Deadpool, Inception just to name a few.
Did you see Sonic? Did you stay through the credits?
I actually really liked this. The character design they first had was absolutely awful and they delayed the movie to redo Sonic and I’m so glad they did. It looked pretty good at the end.
I laughed out loud a few times. Jim Carrey was absolutely bonkers. It was a fun time.

Yeah I finally got to see it last month and I enjoyed it. Watched all the way to the end for the surprise.
I liked every part that didn’t have Jim Carrey in it. I was kind of surprised.

I was fascinated by how neatly his hair was trimmed!
@RiotDemon I generally love Jim Carrey but he was too over the top for me. Sonic was great. And that other guy. And the dog.
@sammydog01 to be faaaaaiiirrrr, he was playing an evil crazy character from a video game so I thought he did pretty good.
I strangely feel guilty for not seeing it in theaters.
We pressured them into spending lots of money and delaying release so they could fix it, and then I didn’t go and support them. Oops.
@acrylic unfortunately the delayed release meant it was released February 14th when things started to hit the fan.
The last two weeks the movie theatre was open, I didn’t go see anything.
@acrylic I think you overestimate both your power and your responsibility. See if you can stream it or rent the DVD.

We really liked Sonic. Watched it 3 times. Excited for the sequel even.

I liked the original sega game. remember playing with my then very young daughter.
movie holds no attraction, maybe i’m old.
@Cerridwyn I think I had four different Sonic games for my genesis… Which I still have and should hook back up.
