Update: As summer departs and fall approaches, if the phrase “camel toe” comes up in private conversations, perhaps those leggings were not a good choice today.
@werehatrack My wife and I went to a play where we were sitting close enough that we could see that one of the performers was wearing a tee shirt with the words camel toe on it with a picture of a camel’s toe. I asked her if she knew what that referred to and she didn’t so I told her. We then had a discussion about whether most women knew what that term referred to.
Fast forward two weeks and we were with three other couples-all in their late 60’s whom I asked if they were familiar with the term. All the men were-none of the women were.
@Felton10@werehatrack
I find that really interesting! Now i’m going to have to ask my mom if she knows. I’m guessing she does!
Just told my guy about what i’m reading here, he said he didn’t know what camel toe meant until about a year ago. I’m shocked! He responded with moose foot! I’m chuckling sporadically!
I’ve known what it was since FOREVER, for some reason I keep thinking about Theresa Giudice of Bravo’s Housewives Of New Jersey! Lol
Is THAT why/where I first found out about it, IDK?
@chienfou@RiotDemon I saw the clothing company earlier - interesting how they only allude to the slang meaning with their logo. But the towing device company is hilariously upfront about their name!
@Kyeh@RiotDemon
I wonder if that’s what my guy meant when he responded “moose foot”! He said he just heard something about it a couple weeks ago. The “keno crew” (as I call them) hang out at the Mobile gas station like they’re at work, it’s their water cooler gossip!
Yes, like they’re 16 years old, I know!!
@Walterbird have you been out shopping at Wal-Mart?
@Lynnerizer I have never taken him there.

@werehatrack
It may be tacky
But pious shaming of parts
Does not do us good

To be fair, we could shame guys who wear their pants too tight by calling it “Camel nose” ( although I suspect guys who do that are proud of it)
@Kyeh You got that right
@Kyeh it’s commonly referred to as a moose knuckle.
@RiotDemon
Hmmm. Do moose have knuckles?
@Kyeh @RiotDemon
There is actually a Canadian outerwear company called moose knuckles. While in the US it’s a bow shackle

No Betty, they’re not for the shorts-wearer, they are for everyone else to enjoy!
