@Mofongo JanSport lost me when they deleted the leather bottom. The old ones could last for years. Without the leather they're just "Meh". Except Meh is offering something better.
@PurplePawprints same here! well, kinda, in for 3 cuz i thot i wished they would come up again the other day, not sure i recall why, but i must need 3, and they're cheap as far as backpacks go, so once i remember i'll be happy for a bit, unless the buyers remorse kicks in first, maybe i'll have to buy a future chromebook to fill one up... (under $100 of course)
If a package with another backpack or water bottle arrives at my house, I will be thrown out on the street. Why must you test the strength of my marriage? Why!?!
@vesoganev Thanks for the link. Looking at the picture of the laptop in the main compartment, it doesn't look like anything else can fit. Not sure how this can be great for school if you need to carry around a laptop and a couple of cords along with books.
It is well made, nice and slender (not a lot of capacity) but one caution - that top flap you see tucks in (and might have a weak magnet) but does not really make the pocket underneath it that secure. (No zipper on that outside pocket.) Snapping the handles together helps tho.
Was actually hoping for Meh to carry a smaller bag to carry a tablet/chromebook/netbook that's smaller than those messenger bags that are "up to 15.6" yet have enough space to store other things like a portable charger.
I have had a very close relationship with my backpacks. My first love was The North Face. I used it even after the zippers failed and now I've been with a Jansport. Always wear slung over one shoulder, even when your Physical Therapist says not to.
@RedOak You have obviously been corrupted or partially disabled by some sort of unfortunate accident in your choice of institutions of higher education. My sympathies. Of course you have been terribly abused, I do not hold you responsible.
Many persons with your affliction have to struggle for years with a sort of "Stockholm sundrome" in which the abused starts to identify with, and imitate, the abuser during the long years of captivity and brainwashing. Even when freed, some victims are so traumatized that they don't wish to leave their pitiful circumstances, and develope a sort of sick worship of the abuser's culture.
You can get assistance for your problem in Austin, Texas. If needed, liquid anesthesia can be obtained in close proximity to the treatment facility.
I can't say anything about this backpack - but....... I purchased this Solo bag some time ago, and couldn't be happier with the quality of this bag. Solo Check Fast Laptop Bag https://meh.com/forum/topics/solo-checkfast-laptop-bag-3
@mfladd Had forgotten about that offering. Too huge and looked too much like a suitcase/briefcase for my preferences... even if it appeared to be well-designed.
@mfladd I bought a couple of those, also. I only buy 17 inch laptops for myself, and it can be hard to find a bag that will fit. That one was perfect and really good quality. I didn't remember it was the same brand as today's backpack. I'm even happier that I bought three now.
@Dillon1337 playing with dimension-fire. Not that it proves anything about today's bag but I've found when a bag says 16" laptop it is often a snug fit. That especially applied to the previous grey Targus messenger bag pictured above - my Dell 15.9 (pretty thin model too) leaves no spare air.
@growyoungagain I'm a fair weather biker so I won't be using it in the rain very much, hopefully. Some water repellant spray might make it more water resistant for if I get caught in a shower.
Its been a few months and this backpack is still in perfect shape and is just killin' it for me. I love this product. Tough as nails. And simple as pickles.
That's not a saying, but pickles are really simple when you think about it. And so is this backpack! <3

Meh
Thank you meh, just what I needed, got 2.
due to the long wait between times you sell these, I got a 3rd. Thanks again meh.
Meh. But oooo la la, It's sweet looking!
You expect me to buy a backpack that doesn't say "JanSport" on it? Meh, please!
@Mofongo Patagonia rules
@Mofongo What is this, middle school?
@Mofongo JanSport lost me when they deleted the leather bottom. The old ones could last for years. Without the leather they're just "Meh". Except Meh is offering something better.
"Carry on "-that's a deal 'fir" those tonight in the woods :)-- naw I'm just carrying on...so thought nehers might want to too!
As Austin Powers might say, not my bag.
My white cats Kiki and son Levi transfer white fur to black nylon instantly.
Don't need another one. It's late, time to pack it in.
But is it big enough to hold my guilt and shame? I have to tote those around all the time. Heavy.
@f00l you only have to fold them in half 8 times, then they will each fit in nicely
@DMlivezey
Ooooh, thanks. So should i do that in secret, thus generating more guilt? Or do i go public, opting for increased shame?
Decisions.....
@f00l go public: abounding-adherent-flight
In for three! One for me and two to put up for my kids for when their current ones wear out. Thanks, Meh!
No thanks. Why not a Fuku fannypack packed with digital goodies?
Why's it gotta be the Solo URBAN. Everyone know "Urban" really means "Black". Why don't they just call it the Solo Blackpack! Fucking racist! Meh
@MehakeMyDay i wonder which candidate you support ;), -0 (that's winky, and cyclops OHHH)
@MehakeMyDay, just realized what hud.gov does. Urban development they say.. Hmm..
If a package with another backpack or water bottle arrives at my house, I will be thrown out on the street. Why must you test the strength of my marriage? Why!?!
@jimmyd103
Would you rather buy dog-poop, as some hereabouts seem willing to go for lately?
@jimmyd103 ship to my address, my wife has already given up
@f00l
I pass on man bags.
@Stallion how do you feel about manbuns?
@Stallion
@DMlivezey Negative on the manbun bro, negative
Star Wars backpack for Hans!
http://www.focuscamera.com/solo-vector-collection-16-laptop-backpack-vtr724.html $17.99 & FS, so cheaper if not VMP. Thats exciting :)
@vesoganev hmmm, maybe the meh.niacs will drop the price retroactively as the mob grows angry...
@vesoganev Thanks for the link. Looking at the picture of the laptop in the main compartment, it doesn't look like anything else can fit. Not sure how this can be great for school if you need to carry around a laptop and a couple of cords along with books.
I thought it said "solar."
Was so excited...until I realized it's just a plain old non-solar backpack
@christinerenee https://sport.woot.com/offers/bayoutech-solar-backpack-3-colors
@BigBalzac That's what I wanted! If only it cost $15...
i need a messenger bag or normal laptop type bag, not a backpack... meh? are you listening?
@annwat if you let one of the straps out all the way and turn the pack on its side, bingo, a messenger bag. Go for it. Styling.
@annwat these were also pretty nice. About a month ago here. For a buck less.
https://meh.com/deals/targus-laptop-bag
@RedOak dammit, how did i miss those?
@annwat If you're still looking and don't mind paying a bit more, Staples is selling the grey model for $22.99 this week. Shipped free to store or I suspect free to home with a (free) Rewards login.

@RedOak thanks for the info! will check it out.
wild-sopping-window.
Was actually hoping for Meh to carry a smaller bag to carry a tablet/chromebook/netbook that's smaller than those messenger bags that are "up to 15.6" yet have enough space to store other things like a portable charger.
@JT954 i think at $15, this is just what you are looking for, you too @annwat, just use your imagination
I have had a very close relationship with my backpacks. My first love was The North Face. I used it even after the zippers failed and now I've been with a Jansport. Always wear slung over one shoulder, even when your Physical Therapist says not to.
@growyoungagain
@melwin
My backpack doesn't have to say DWEEB on it. People can just tell.
@growyoungagain If you're just going to one-shoulder it anyway… why not get a messenger bag?
@brhfl Because it's not a backpack and you still have the option of using both shoulders, if necessary.
cantankerous-predictable-troll
@SinNYC
+1zillion.
I looked at the fivethirtyeight projections today. I have started to practice saying "President Trump". This does not come easily to me.
OMG a backpack for less than $1 per inch. MEH.com how do you do it? I gotta get one. on second thought, meh!
Nope, don't buy nuttin' with orange!
@gbowline A black sharpie??
@gbowline
So are you a Sooner or an Aggie? Uncover your disgrace for all to see.
@gbowline Orange is good. In spite of teams it might signal.
@RedOak

@f00l it's simply orange.
Abundantly flirtatious coat
I can't say anything about this backpack - but.......

@mfladd Had forgotten about that offering. Too huge and looked too much like a suitcase/briefcase for my preferences... even if it appeared to be well-designed.
@RedOak it was perfect for my work needs. It is briefcase size, and not for someone for just looking to carry a laptop. It was very well designed.
@mfladd I bought a couple of those, also. I only buy 17 inch laptops for myself, and it can be hard to find a bag that will fit. That one was perfect and really good quality. I didn't remember it was the same brand as today's backpack. I'm even happier that I bought three now.
Will this hold a 17" laptop if I force it? I really want this backpack but I really want my laptop more.
@Not_Ken_M You need two laptops, the 17" to use at home and the smaller one to actually take places.
@Not_Ken_M Travel back in time to August 9, 2015. @mfladd, above might have some tips. ----^
@Not_Ken_M I have a 17 incher but according to the laptop dimensions it'll fit. I'm gonna chance it.
@RedOak looks like I lucked out. Fits fine
Looking for something for a short bicycle commute to work, mostly without laptop. Need to carry shoes, clothes. Will this work?
@Stumpy91 Absolutly!! and it's $115.00 dollars cheaper than Bear Grylls backpack(rucksack),but I doubt that it's waterproof.💧💧
@growyoungagain I'm a fair weather biker so I won't be using it in the rain very much, hopefully. Some water repellant spray might make it more water resistant for if I get caught in a shower.
A sellout at 11:48 PM? That's the latest I've ever seen a deal sell out.
@lljk that would be a nearly perfect daily deal. @Snapster owes the buyer a very nice Christmas bonus next December.
Its been a few months and this backpack is still in perfect shape and is just killin' it for me. I love this product. Tough as nails. And simple as pickles.
That's not a saying, but pickles are really simple when you think about it. And so is this backpack! <3
Still rockin this backpack
@mehcus: can we get this backpack back. I would take one. I love my solo briefcase for work I bought here.
@mfladd Just for you, I'll make this happen
@MEHcus Thanks.
This is still the best backpack I’ve ever owned. Very durable and never too big. Great for my back too.
@SeveralPeople Still have it. Still amazing.
@SeveralPeople Still. The only bad thing years and years later is that the inside is beginning to flake. But thats after yeeeeears. Still worth it.
