So, about the TrackRs...
3I will note that through all of the many comments about the TrackRs, the issue of battery life was a common thread, but the batteries were always replaceable. One of the competitors for TrackR is Tile, and their “Tile Sticker” model has a non-replaceable battery - and they still want $55 for a pair of them, when that battery is designed to last no more than a year.
And it doesn’t last more than a year.
Y’know, I’m almost sad that I never ended up with any TrackRs. Not quite, mind you, but almost.

We could fix that…
@blaineg
Yep… I KNOW I have a ahem… handful… around the house, work, my backpack etc.
@blaineg @chienfou
But can you gang-chime them all at the same time?
@chienfou But what kind of plastic?
@blaineg
it doesn’t matter to the eco-police…!
calling @koolhandjoe I think the author of this thread
has adoesn’t have a request…@Kidsandliz Why would they tempt me so?.. Muahahahahahahahahahaha
Ostensibly the batteries are replaceable, but three of mine had battery doors that wouldn’t release and they ended up breaking. Also, the replacement batteries Meh supplied only lasted 5-6 weeks at best with almost no usage
@guyfromhawthorn The premium Meh batteries?
@guyfromhawthorn @phendrick
DELUXE Premium Meh batteries, I should think.
Do the TrackR Pixels still work, at all? I remember hearing the network was being turned off.
@PooltoyWolf It was, but someone found another company’s app that works with them.
