SideDeal pasta?
5I like the idea of buying a bunch of pasta in bulk to stock up but at $1.60/lb am I wrong in thinking that this isn’t a good deal at all? I know I can routinely find 1lb boxes of pasta for 88¢. Granted they’re store brand and it might be a little difficult to get that many now but still, is there something I’m missing?

Are you saying our pasta offerings are SideDishes only?
I bought the black beans. The price ended up being about four bucks more than my local restaurant supply store. Those four bucks got it delivered to my door in less than a week. In my opinion totally worth it to avoid the trip and the chance of disappointment at being out of stock.

Honestly it depends on the quality of the pasta. I have paid over $2.00 a lb for quality pasta
I’ve paid much more than that, but not for plain. And not for one that is not relatively freshly made. (love Pappardelles, but you cheapskates will bitch at the cost. (https://pappardellespasta.com/)
But the bulk pasta is also on Morningsave too, and for people that either have large families or otherwise consume large quantities, it is definitely a convenience.
@Cerridwyn looks good
@tinamarie1974
it is
i love the cracked pepper fettuccine with chicken and alfredo and whatever…
@Cerridwyn making homemade pasta and homemade sauce for dinner on Easter. Guessing this is ALMOST as good. May have to get some to try.
I am saying to hell with the keto for Good Friday and Easter sunday
@tinamarie1974
homemade is yummy
used to make a lot of homemade angel hair, nothing quite like it. I was never good at adding stuff to change the flavor of homemade though - failed every time I tired.
since there is only me, home made is more effort most of the time. but nothing like fresh pasta and homemade bread.
and i get the diet thing really. did basically keto for about 4-5 months, lost about 45 pounds, hoping to keep it off in this time of ‘hot carbs = comfort’ and of course there is ‘stress = food’
@Cerridwyn agree about mixing in flavors. I have not figured it out either. But I am out of boxed and trying to avoid a grocery store run for easter dinner for me and my parents so homemade makes the most sense. I seem to have everything I need ingredient wise
@tinamarie1974
Yeah, I get that too. 3 weeks since I did more than run over to the organic grocery near work (expensive, good for vegies/fruit/sometimes bread, not much else)
Pretty much outta protein sources except some cheese
Good luck!
I’m in for a box of pasta, haven’t been able to find it for a while, and the VMP discount doesn’t hurt.
Though a box of cereal would have been clutch, I’ve been out for a week. Guess I’ll have to see if a co-worker is willing to trade for eggs…
boy do I have a site for you https://pastadrop.com/
@connorbush I don’t know if the important parties will read this, but i
McAfee mobile internet security blocked the pastadrop site as a security risk. I think it’s a part of the Google Chrome on my phone, because I would never put any McAfee software on anything I own. It sucks.
@connorbush @Fuzzalini McAfee is not part of Chrome by default.
@connorbush @j8048188 I think it’s a phone thing only.
@connorbush @Fuzzalini if you were connected to a public wifi, it could be on their end…
while i’m at work, great lakes regional grocer meijer, and connected to the public wifi, it will block some e-commerce sites… not amazon… but some. or anything it deems “not family friendly”
