My $40 IRK turned out to be a Cusinart ice cream maker with two (count ‘em) freezer bowls. Not bad and while I wasn’t shopping for one, I think it was an OK deal and the Mardi Gras purple and gold bag was the cherry on top. Thanks Meh.

I received a box with an IRK bag sticking out on the side. Yes, as if stuffed in without opening it.
When I opened it, it had an item returned as defective by another customer in the unopened box - with the RMA letter from said customer with their personal information still in there.
As if they didn’t even bother processing the customer return at all and never opened it (it was still customer packaged) but just slapped a label on it, stuffed an IRK bag in from the side, then couldn’t find anything else to stuff in and sent it out.
So, not 3 items, but 1 defective item with a data privacy violation and an IRK bag.
@datruandi I had that happen once, found a note from a customer saying item was defective (who puts notes in? I never have)… There was still a label on with customer name and address.
For the record the item was not defective and didn’t look like it had ever been used, some of the sealing stickers hadn’t even been removed. Worked perfectly. (Vacuum sealer)
Only happened once, out of maybe a dozen Irks received. But does make me wonder about some of online companies that we deal with how seriously they treat customer privacy (Not saying that about meh… I suspect meh buys pallets of returned items from other online retailers to put in IRKs this was someone.elses return and meh just didn’t notice the customer label/note)
@OnionSoup it was a return to Morningsave from a Morningsave customer in a “freshly - life-ready meals in minutes” box. The package had not been opened and resealed based on the condition of the packaging tape.

I thought irks were supposed to contain 3 items. That happened to me last month. I got a returned/broken outdoor speaker/lamp (only thing in the box besides the bag) that I was really excited to use only to find out that it didn’t work at all. I understand that some people can fix some broken stuff but can anybody fix broken electronics made from china in todays world (or is it even worth their time to try)?
You could try to find someone who knows how and ask them - that speaker/radio thing you got was expensive when they sold it, so worth checking. Once my sister gave me a lamp that wouldn’t turn on, and my friend tinkered with it - it was just a loose connection that he tightened and it’s still working.
@datruandi CSR responded in a not very insightful way, basically saying “IRKs are filled with regret”
They did say they notified the team leads, but didn’t acknowledge that they messed up.
In a nutshell they just don’t give a damn.
Resending a customer return before even opening it is not acceptable and can lead to dangerous situations besides of the privacy violation.

How on earth did I miss this… I was wondering when these IRKs were from as I got my last one several weeks ago and don’t remember seeing another one being offered. I will say that I was just looking at my month of clicky faces and I missed more days than ever before, I was actually really surprised. So did I miss an entire Meh-rathon or was it just a IRK offering? Hmmm… well this is something new, how do I feel so much regret without even participating… 🫤🫨

Tough part was you had 6 different pages to check out and hope an IRK was listed. Then you had to decide at what price do you want one. They sold from $10 - $40 but all were the same ol’ IRK. From what I’ve seen reported by some recipients, maybe you’re lucky you missed it!!
I’ve never had an IRK with 3 broken and/or expired items. The big zapper is totally broken and not even repairable. The cream cleanser is rancid, and candles are broken too. It’s one thing to send regret but another to send broken trash. Never again.
I was fully expecting to regret my $35 IRK purchase, but the only thing I regret is that this arrived exactly 12 hours after the heat wave ended. Even though it’s no longer 8000 degrees outside, I will still be putting this to very good use. Thanks, Meh/Side-deal!

@fjp999 I just traveled to and from the UK with those and they were fab. They’re not amazing for everyday use but were perfect for travel. Especially when I paired them with the new tablets travel bag.
My $30 IRK is regrettable and my day is…meh. Purple IRK bag, costume jewelry ring, metal pan/lid organizer thing that the wife says we do not need, and 2 3-packs of size XL “members only” boxer briefs. I suppose I should be flattered at the implication about the amount of heat I am packing.

I use all my irk bags to store the many reusable bags I use for groceries. They are perfect gor keeping them nice and clean. I have one in my car, when it gets empty I bring out another one from the livingroom where I put the ones I’ve already used and they are ready to go. They are also good for storing small to medium size blankets.
My IRK came in the beat-up box of one of these things (could be a different model though):
I’m terrified to actually open it. This thing is completely useless to me since I don’t use quacky snake oil methods of fitness. It’s going straight to the donation bin, I guess. Hopefully there’s something else that’s of use in the box when I open it up at some point before then. I paid $10.
@ShotgunX they are not horrible if you know what you are doing with them (and not defective). I tried it many years ago (when my parents had one), and unless you are super duper fit already your muscles will get pretty sore.
@datruandi Maybe. I’m not sure it will even work, though. The box shakes around like a Texas rattlesnake, so I’m pretty sure it’s a return. Best case scenario is that it might be functional after I wipe off someone’s pool of grundle sweat from the unit’s surface.
Got mine yesterday to but I was also busy. I was extremely excited when opened mine to see the body iron (something I would really use. I have horrible stretch marks from a medicine a dr “forgot” to tell me would thin my skin and only use for 2 weeks most). Sadly I think it might be DOA (again), as there’s a return sticker inside and I’m charging it and it doesn’t light up. I also got a pink purse (I like the style but you’ll never see me in anything pink), so a bday gift for my sister. Jvc Bluetooth around the neck music, phone whatever thingamabob, I might try it out for late night tv bc boyfriend snores so loud I can hear him over tv even when he’s in the bedroom. Also got a silicone drying rack and white bag. Paid $25 really hope the body iron works, especially after last month.

@Star2236 One of the things I got (2 tubes of it) claims it tightens skins and gets rid of wrinkles. No idea if it is snake oil or not but for postage (pirate postage which is cheaper and uses UPS) you are welcome to have it and try it.

I’m not going to bother with a photo since nothing appears to be unique.
The rug will be useful. Snack and wart not so much. I expect the skin stuff to be mostly herpetoleic, but will try them given the price. Bird feeder(s) will get donated to Texas Art Asylum for possible crafter/artist repurposing. T-shirt will go to Out Of The Closet unless I decide to get creative with the serger. Royal blue is a nice color, but resetting the sleeves is a minor pain.

@fjp999 I just traveled to and from the UK with those and they were fab. They’re not amazing for everyday use but were perfect for travel. Especially when I paired them with the new tablets travel bag.
@sillyheathen I am an unhealthy male who doesnt use a bag of this type nor travel even a few blocks but will give the advice of the f I gift this to.

My $30 IRK is regrettable and my day is…meh. Purple IRK bag, costume jewelry ring, metal pan/lid organizer thing that the wife says we do not need, and 2 3-packs of size XL “members only” boxer briefs. I suppose I should be flattered at the implication about the amount of heat I am packing.

I use all my irk bags to store the many reusable bags I use for groceries. They are perfect gor keeping them nice and clean. I have one in my car, when it gets empty I bring out another one from the livingroom where I put the ones I’ve already used and they are ready to go. They are also good for storing small to medium size blankets.
@Katyboomboom unfortunately the bags are also poorly made, had them rip when shopping more than once.
My IRK came in the beat-up box of one of these things (could be a different model though):
I’m terrified to actually open it. This thing is completely useless to me since I don’t use quacky snake oil methods of fitness. It’s going straight to the donation bin, I guess. Hopefully there’s something else that’s of use in the box when I open it up at some point before then. I paid $10.
@ShotgunX they are not horrible if you know what you are doing with them (and not defective). I tried it many years ago (when my parents had one), and unless you are super duper fit already your muscles will get pretty sore.
@datruandi Maybe. I’m not sure it will even work, though. The box shakes around like a Texas rattlesnake, so I’m pretty sure it’s a return. Best case scenario is that it might be functional after I wipe off someone’s pool of grundle sweat from the unit’s surface.

Got mine yesterday to but I was also busy. I was extremely excited when opened mine to see the body iron (something I would really use. I have horrible stretch marks from a medicine a dr “forgot” to tell me would thin my skin and only use for 2 weeks most). Sadly I think it might be DOA (again), as there’s a return sticker inside and I’m charging it and it doesn’t light up. I also got a pink purse (I like the style but you’ll never see me in anything pink), so a bday gift for my sister. Jvc Bluetooth around the neck music, phone whatever thingamabob, I might try it out for late night tv bc boyfriend snores so loud I can hear him over tv even when he’s in the bedroom. Also got a silicone drying rack and white bag. Paid $25 really hope the body iron works, especially after last month.

@Star2236 One of the things I got (2 tubes of it) claims it tightens skins and gets rid of wrinkles. No idea if it is snake oil or not but for postage (pirate postage which is cheaper and uses UPS) you are welcome to have it and try it.
@Star2236 Funny that you got a Fat Iron. In an IRK long long ago I got a Fat Freezer. It didn’t work either. But I wonder which gets rid of fat better, hot gadget or cold gadget?
@djslack @Star2236 I think only the kind of gadgets that make you get hot by exertion. Like treadmills or exercise bikes.

Today’s theme is late night snacks. We have an oversized Meh tshirt and some slippers which is perfect lounging attire. A chef Irwin tumbler to keep my drinks chilly and 8 packages of Chili Lime Jackfruit that expired last month I think. An Orange and white IRK bag and nice little purse trio to carry all my snacks in. Thank you Meh, you always bring me so much joy.

The IRK arrived while I was out of town. It was much the same as what’s described several times above.
I’m not going to bother with a photo since nothing appears to be unique.
The rug will be useful. Snack and wart not so much. I expect the skin stuff to be mostly herpetoleic, but will try them given the price. Bird feeder(s) will get donated to Texas Art Asylum for possible crafter/artist repurposing. T-shirt will go to Out Of The Closet unless I decide to get creative with the serger. Royal blue is a nice color, but resetting the sleeves is a minor pain.
