I have this model, chosen based on consistently great reviews, and it has been consistently great for the couple of years I’ve had it.
Even a cheap piece of junk food processor is an awesome addition to your kitchen if you like to cook at all. This is a pretty good price, but I’ve never seen these for sale at the $460 price listed here, real-world price is more like $250.
An anecdote that may be helpful to someone: I didn’t replace my cheap piece of junk food processor right away after it died because I wasn’t really aware of how much time it saved me. I might run it for 2 minutes and then spend 5 minutes cleaning it, and that seems like a bad trade. In going without, I found that I still have to spend at least the same amount of time cleaning knives, prep bowls, cutting board, etc., in addition to several minutes to actually chop/slice/grate/whatever. I’m willing to accept that I might just be crazy here, but I thought it was an interesting executive functioning quirk that maybe some folks share.
TL;DR: If you’re thinking something like, “Dealing with a food processor is a PITA, I’ll just use a knife,” there’s a good chance you’re missing out by underestimating a really useful and versatile tool.
