@ircon96@yakkoTDI Why the long face? Rain is great! My plants love it so much more than city water and I love it because it brings the summer heat down (and makes me not have to spend time watering with inferior water).
My only complaint about it is we don’t get it as much as we used to. Used to get a shower most every afternoon during the rainy season, now we only get it once a week if we’re lucky.
@Weboh@yakkoTDI I have nothing against rain, but everything in moderation. We’ve had this weather pattern almost constantly this year; it’s nice to have a break once in awhile.
I wish I could treat them as a time of luxury. But if I felt okay doing that, I’d very likely jump all the way to a bath.
But water is a limited resource (more limited in some places than in others), and heating it is not free. Therefore I feel compelled to say showers should be as quick as possible.
Amazing and cherished because until I was 18 years old we did not have a shower in the house I grew up in, only a claw foot tub. During my junior and senior years of high school, before school would start each day I would drive to the local tennis center that I was a member of and shower. To this day I still loathe taking a bath. Not only because that was my only choice growing up but also because I am too tall to comfortably fit into most bath tubs. YAY SHOWERS!!!
@sicc574 The HOA where I live is called The Golden Rain association. Can’t make this shit up. And no, that’s not even close to the name of our development.
@katbyter I’m a guy who’s been to several bridal “showers”, invited as part of the wedding party (and to do menial labor…) but I have NEVER seen any of the brides-to-be or bridesmaids showering there (won’t opine here on whether any needed it).
And I’ve witnessed babies being changed at such places and despite their no doubt needing a little extra cleaning, never saw a baby getting showered, either.
Showering is how I get clean since most tubs are too short for me. About 10 minutes if I’m not shaving; when I shave (2-3 times a week) I set the showerhead to pulse massage and relax my shoulders and/or back, adds 5-10 minutes.
This presumes that I’m not in a hurry. When I am, I can do complete shower (w/o shaving) in about 3-4 minutes.
Artificial rain.
@yakkoTDI Unless they’re real rain.

Wet
Moist.
(Texas is conserving water.)
@phendrick Except where it isn’t.
@werehatrack I never saw Austin being accused of being overly efficient in much that they do.

Probably the people at Hippie Hollow aren’t the only exposed bodies now.

I’ve touched on this here before! Heh.
Cold and fast in the morning. Warm and scrubby in the evening.

POPSOCKETS! COURT DOCKETS! FOLK ROCK HITS! AWESOME!
Somewhere between quick and luxury. I get in, do what I need to do, and get out, but I don’t race through it.
For brides and babies.
Hopefully in that order.
