Shirtle Power! (Tee Time)

Picture this. It’s 1987 and you’re checking out what’s on the Saturday morning cartoon line-up. You’ve lost GI Joe and Transformers who both ended their initial series last year, but at least you’ve still got Thundercats. Still, you find yourself looking for something new to fill out your animated entertainment because DuckTales and The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin just don’t have the action you’re missing. Then you see it, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. A team of mutated reptiles lead by an equally mutated rat fighting against ninjas and space creatures. What’s not to love?

Now consider how many of those cartoons managed to stick around, make movies, toys, video games, and still be beloved today. Mutated turtles wouldn’t have been my bet for a survivor, but here we are. Two amazing designs from Arinesart featuring the red one with the pointy things and the orange one with the other weapony things. (don’t @ me, I know their names and full backstory…just keeping you on your toes)
