Shipping to Puerto Rico?
0The FAQ doesn't make the answer clear. Do you guys ship to Puerto Rico? If you send USPS, it's the same price as any other US destination and doesn't require bullshit customs forms or anything. If you use FedEx or UPS, they make you fill out forms like it's some other country.
I'm moving there in a week to build my next startup (federal income tax exempt and no capital gains taxes or taxes on dividends) and I need to outfit a whole new life and would love to take advantage of Meh deals for cool random shit.

No they do not ship to Puerto Rico. They also do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii, internationally, nor to APO/FPO addresses directly. You can use your choice of freight forwarding services if you want if you need to get around this limitation.
They use FedEx - in most instances the final delivery ("last mile" delivery) is made by the US Postal Service (via FedEx SmartPost) - but it is still a FedEx origin package. @cengland0 is correct.
However, with all those tax breaks you're getting, I'm certain you could find a reasonably priced freight forwarder in Miami that would send your packages on to you . . .
Puerto Rico ain't all it is cracked up to be - I do hope you've had some prior experience(s) there - a lot of people are shocked by the abject poverty (~45% [many estimates are higher] of the people in Puerto Rico are living well below the US poverty line) and the crime rate (http://www.numbeo.com/crime/compare_countries_result.jsp?country1=Puerto+Rico&country2=United+States).

They tell me all the time about the expensive utilities like electricity. The property values are crazy. Price of a gallon of milk is over $6. So you would think the salaries would increase to compensate for the cost of living. Nope.

@cengland0 Yeah, from Puerto Ricans I know it sounds ridiculously expensive to live there, like it can probably more than offset any of the tax breaks for operating there.
