Does anyone have this specific model? Are you a fan of this fan or does it only blow in a bad way? And YES, I’m dead serious! After my water heater leaked on my neighbor’s ceiling last week he borrowed our fan and still hasn’t returned it. SO YEAH, I NEED A FAN!
@Lynnerizer I have the 12" version sold a few weeks ago. It’s not bad as a personal fan sitting close to my face/torso. But it does NOT put out a huge amount of air to cool a whole room. I expect this smaller version puts out less.
And tell your neighbor to give back your fan, or you’ll make sure he has further use for it for drying his ceiling.
@Lynnerizer I have a Spin 10 blowing on me right now. The only issue with mine is when oscillating, it squeaks as it reaches the end of a turn. It sounds like wires might be getting squished. Most of the time I don’t use the oscillation and use it at the lowest speed. It feels nice and is pretty quiet.
@phendrick Yeah maybe I’m thinking more of a high velocity fan is what I want. A fan with power!🪭
As for the neighbor…
Ha! I’m holding my breath hoping the loss of a fan is all I’m going to lose in damages!
Actually, I feel bad for him. He’s a 23yr old kid and bought his unit last month. First time home owner and he’s already experienced a lot of headaches. He and his dad just finished all sorts of renovations, his place looks great! Hopefully he’ll replace a little sheetrock and that will be that. No messy insurance claims.
@Lynnerizer Good luck on escaping any damages cost. (Maybe bake him a cake or pie or both?)
As to the fan, I invested in something like this many years ago (maybe 20 or more?). Not sure it’s exactly the same, but looks close. https://www.samsclub.com/p/pivoting-utlity-fan/prod8670795?xid=plp_product_2
Well worth the money, IMO. I’ve used it for everything from drying wet carpets to blowing off sweat during a workout to carrying it outside while working under my truck. The handle makes it quite easy to carry and the pivoting fan enclosure makes it easy to aim exactly where you need it, including very high or very low (ground level). Also, the onboard outlets are handy when you are on an outdoor extension cord with only one outlet. At this price, and allowing for inflation, it’s probably cheaper than what I paid for mine.
The only issue I’ve had after all this time is that it has gotten pretty difficult to pivot the blower. It’s worse than trying to unbend/bend my knees after I’ve been sitting a while. Haven’t taken the time to see if I can do anything to free up the pivot. Might have to disassemble and lubricate.

@Lynnerizer The link I gave you says “Out of Stock”, but my local club has them. There were dozens in a floor display there a couple days ago. (Maybe it’s just needs a specific location chosen to show them.)
The second fan is like one Meh sold a while back. I got one from here and have been quite happy with it, though less convenient to move around than the other one.
@phendrick
Baking something for the growing neighbor is a excellent idea! Thanks!
That first fan is really something, I’ve never seen one like that, it looks like a workhorse but not gigantic! I love the plugs! Thanks!
@phendrick
Talk about ironic… My upstairs neighbor came down to inform us HER hot water heater just crapped out! Thankfully no karma was involved because her partner heard the water dripping and shut it down before we got any water damage. That’s almost unbelievable.
@phendrick
We’re only 3 high, I’m sandwiched in the middle. I never would’ve been able to live here (or any other condo/apartment like setting) if it wasn’t an end unit with lots of windows! And NEVER in the basement/bottom unit where the bottom of the windows are at chin level for me! I’m good with my Goldilocks middle unit where I hardly need heat in the winter, even in 30° temps. We’ll see what happens this year now that my elderly downstairs neighbors who cranked their heat have sold it to this young guy.
I’d never heard of Stacked, but I might’ve helped to erect some of those units back in the late 80s. This guy, my boss, put together a few condo buildings with literal scraps of leftover materials that came from his personal home garage and who knows where else… I’d be really surprised if they’re still livable or even standing!🫣
I sometimes wonder what the workers who built my place has to say…
Jeez, 5am without very much sleep makes me more rambling than usual. Lol…

@Lynnerizer I have the spin 12 sitting behind me, it’s been quiet and breezy on low and powerful on high. No more noise than needed to move air.
@EvilSmoo Thanks!

@Lynnerizer Phew! Almost needed a run on blower fans.
How high are y’all stacked there?
If you saw the movie, Stacks

NOPE!
Anyone else going to use this for their fursuit head? No? Just me?
@ferretferret
Halloween IS coming, I’d LOVE to see pics of THAT costume!
@ferretferret @Lynnerizer Is it a ferret fursuit?
@ferretferret Where does the cord go?
@Kyeh Ferret-bat!
@pakopako
Surge protector! I never travel without one
@ferretferret Now that’s a suit I’d love to see!
I have one and it’s a good fan, very quiet on low setting. No issues with oscillation on mine… Worth $20, it doesn’t suck, it blows
This is a great fan, I recommend it
