This has a real vintage sci fi paperback cover art feel to it to me (other than, you know, not having spaceships or stars or anything like that). Like I could see it on some random book in my dad’s collection.
I have this but without the upholstery attachment. It’s a great vac for cleaning up after kids or dogs or cleaning little crap from the car. Buying one because today I discovered my mother in law still has a big chunky handheld vacuum from the 1900’s that the battery lasts approximately 17 seconds on a full charge. So she’s gonna get an upgrade.
In addition to it being attractive and sucking up debris pretty well, I also like how the dust cup has a brush on it that sweeps the screen clean when you open it to dump the cup.
Update: This is the WV410. I have the WV201. They seem to be very comparable but not the same, and the WV201 is the one that has the little brush to automatically clean the screen. This vacuum does not have that. Don’t tell my mother in law.
Shark is a good name, sure, but I’m gonna stick with my Roybi Evercharge with a 4ah battery on it. It doesn’t hurt that I’m already deep in the Ryobi/Milwaukee TTI cult, so I may as well keep throwing my money at the green stuff.
Paid almost full price for one recently. Works really well for little spills or edge cleanup after my Roomba thinks it is done. Sometimes dirt doesn’t make into the bin if you turn it off too soon. I have gotten into the habit of tipping the end up before turning it off so I don’t drop a pile of dirt back out. Despite that, it is really strong and fairly quiet.
We’re obviously seeing some tradition slippage here. No one has said that this deal sucks. And nobody has groused about the battery not being easily replaceable. Nor have there been and inquiries about Bluetooth or Mac compatibility (no, and no).
I will refrain from inquiring about the collection bin’s volume in SGUs or wiffles.
Should I be worried that it is “Certified Renewed”? That means that the unit people at Amazon said sucked and returned due to the unit malfunctioning, we are now getting after a mechanic (does he know what he is doing?) tries to fix it. Is that a good idea or is it using a unit for 90 days and then throwing it away when it stops working?
@user03432887 What you are likely getting is a [potentially] unused, open box return. Usually a good deal, especially if from a reliable vendor.
My Little Giant ladder was marked ‘Refurbished’, but only on the carton. I suspect that they were clearing inventory. Got it 15 years ago from Woot, still happy with it.
I bought one of these off of Woot about a year ago and it’s really terrific for light cleanup. I have had to clean it out a couple of times - there are a few layers of filters that will get clogged. I’d buy one all day at this price if I didn’t have mine.

Late to the party, missed out on purple. Magenta looks good though, so I’m in. Let’s see if I can use the AI thingie all the cool kids are using now…
I just received mine. The attachments keep falling off. They don’t click in place or have enough friction to hold them on. Surprising and frustrating. Sure glad I didn’t pay full price for this thing.
I agree with the above poster.
The design seems good, I like how it fits in the charging base.
But it is weak as hell and just got clogged on some spiderwebs. Truly mediocre!
WOW…
My frown just turned upside down after reading the last few comments about this extra sucky vacuum! I was super bummed to be notified that it was cancelled, but now, not so much! Besides that it’s Prime Days and you know what that means…
I learned a valuable lesson - never, ever buy a refurb item on MEH. Worked fine for a few weeks, then crapola. Will only run for about 10 seconds at a time. Shuts down then will start up again a little later - for another 10 seconds.

Baby shark Doo Doo Doo da Doo.
This can suck a hamster out of anything.
@Num1Zero So it has a reverse gear?
@Num1Zero What color is the hamster?
@Num1Zero @OnionSoup no…a Richard Gere.
I got one of these from Woot! and it’s been great, but it wasn’t purple. I will soon have a purple one from Meh. Assuming my order isn’t cancelled.
@heartny I was going to alert you to the existence of the purple one if you hadn’t already seen it!
@Kyeh I was actually torn between a color that would match my decor or purple. Once I came to my senses, I ordered purple
@heartny Oh, good. I like several of the colors, myself, but I haven’t succumbed to temptation yet …
@heartny Inwonder if @barney saw it!!
@Barney @heartny @tinamarie1974
The “plum” ones have sold out!
@heartny @Kyeh @tinamarie1974
Looks like I got lucky and saved some money.
@heartny i got a purple one too
Have one. Looks like this one but doesn’t suck… dirt. It doesn’t really suck dirt.
People complain about cup or holding size. I need a bigger cup bigger holding size. Not braggin just sayin

@djslack meh…when you care enough to send the very best.
@hockeybum Nah, the very mehest. Here, this ought to be good enough.

Well, the cleaning rats convinced me:
/giphy penultimate-heartbreaking-cilantro
I’d grab one of these IF they came with a bristle attachment
/showme a shark vacuuming a Honda Civic
@mediocrebot nice… It’s even the right colour even though I didn’t specify red.
@OnionSoup That shark is vaccuming near a Civic; it is not vaccuming a Civic. I like how the car and vaccum are color-matched… very tasteful.
That is a very narrow road. I hope the shark moves their car soon because they are blocking traffic.
@OnionSoup you can tell it’s AI because the shark only has 3 fingers
/showme a school of sharks performing all the housework in French Maid outfits.
@mediocrebot This image fits the brief. A+
Great deal have two paid double plus. The motor can overheat with fine dust litter needs good cleaning but day to day busting the best

@rpstrong Thanks for making me feel better about my purchase! If it doesn’t work my husband will never let me hear the end of it!

Magenta ≠ Georgia Red.
(but at least it’s not CRIMSON).

I don’t always vacuum, but when I do, I prefer a Stanley SL18115P in the 5-gallon configuration.
@806D2701 Uhgh. I deal with Stanley Infrastructure at work, and it’s kind of put me off any of their stuff. I still like my Fatmax tapes, though.

Also, blame because you are sold out of PURPLE
@tinamarie1974
Oh, you tried to get purple?
(Blue matches your decor though - did you get that?)
@Kyeh i did end up with blue! Good guess!!!
@tinamarie1974 finally got FOMO and got the “magenta.” Which is fine with me, I like the color, although (or because) it looks more burgundy to me.
Wow, weird - I deleted the commands for these images but the images themselves stayed put. The order number was “disturbed-chivalrous-troll.”
Definitely up there for the best of the new Meh summer taglines
“Here-and-there use at a here-and-there price!”
(“Screw it, it’s just $5” is still in the lead.)

@mehorama saaaaaaammmmmmmmmmeeeee
This thing is terrible. Do not buy.
The amount of suction is about 10% of using the wand on a regular household vacuum at best.
I agree with the above poster.
The design seems good, I like how it fits in the charging base.
But it is weak as hell and just got clogged on some spiderwebs. Truly mediocre!
Guess I don’t feel so bad my order got cancelled now that I see these last few comments lol
