@Pantheist Yeah, I wonder about that, too. I keep thinking Gee, it’s handheld, it’s powerful, and there’s nothing much you can clean with it. Maybe people who have it can comment on how they use it?
@gertiestn I got one last time (and just ordered another one) and I use it for “quick” cleaning - like doing the stairs, around the baseboards and places that get dirty the fastest. We have 2 dogs so it comes in handy for those quick cleanups in between real ones. I wouldn’t recommend vacuuming a whole room with it. HTH!
@gertiestn I bought one for my hubby and he thinks it is the best thing since sliced bread for cleaning his pool table. He found bones in the table left over from the prehistoric age! Just bought 2 more for friends!
Got one last time, mine looked totally new. Love it, though short cord. Some people said theirs were used and/or broken. I’m still trying to get all the correct pieces to my Shark steam mop, so I’m going to pass on gambling another one of these for mom.
@meh I got this as well… really like it. The cord is not ridiculously short but won’t quite reach down a flight of stairs. Good suction and motorized brush! Pretty easy to clean as well.
@kelaiem yeah its perfect for my stairs after adding a good extension cord. just wish items were more reliably as described from here…i’d buy two more.
IT’S EXTREMELY LOUD. SO LOUD I ACTUALLY THINK IT WILL CAUSE HEARING DAMAGE. GET THOSE EARMUFFS THEY USE FOR SHOOTING GUNS. I AM TYPING IN ALL CAPS SO YOU KNOW I AM SERIOUS ABOUT HOW INCREDIBLY LOUD THIS IS. IT’S VERY GOOD AT PICKING UP PET HAIR FROM FURNITURE THOUGH.
@Alereon When I was in school, I had a prof tell a story about Hoover vacuums. He said customers that bought the vacs were returning them because they were too loud. The complaints got back to management who had a meeting with their exec team. They wanted the engineers to make the motors quieter. Apparently some marketing guy in the back of the meeting said he could fix the vacuum. The others asked how, since he wasn’t an engineer. He said he’d start a new marketing campaign promoting the Hoover sound of power!
Yep that did it, sold like hotcakes. So, when the Shark is making its racket, just imagine it as the Shark sound of power!
Got one last time. Was missing the motorized brush and the hinge for the base/cover was busted. Was told to call Shark and never received a replacement. Vacuum works fine, but the bungee holding the cover on is a little silly.
@lordbowen Same here. I just ordered another one for my mom. I have gone through too many cordless ones that give up way too quickly and have finally decided to just admit that I need a corded one. I really like this one and having the cord is no where near as much of a pain as is losing suction with the cordless ones.
I got one of these last time they were on. Great on the stairs, gets thick pet fur off the couch, easy to empty.
This is hard to explain, but the end on the motorized brush head pivots a bit to help get into some angles.
Electric, not battery, so it’s got more power, will be ready when you need it, and won’t quit before you do.
I got one last time and I love it! It’s great for stairs, cars, yachts, smaller aircraft and Soyuz space capsules. Mostly I use mine for my car and stairs because I don’t have those other things.
I have one from the last offering. BUT, a that time we had no choice of color! I’m sure if I had a different color my vacume experience would really be enhanced. Such is life.
How do I get an order number, number mind you, of “unguarded cagey oven.” The order was for the vac, but now I’m worried. Do I have to guard a new oven which I didn’t really want? Cagey, WTF? Here I thought number meant 0 thru 9…silly me. Do I need a Meh decoder ring to divine the number? So many questions…so little time.
@MarcoPolo2150 In meh world, order number is really a series of random words. Should work the same unless you need to insert it into a numeric field in a database somewhere…
Picked one up before and it’s pretty decent – used it a few days ago, in fact – but, the motorized brush actually doesn’t do much at all. It will spin, but apply any pressure to vacuum, and mine pretty much stops.
Got one last time that was also missing the motorized brush. Contacted Meh then Shark who quickly sent me a new one. It’s great for quick clean ups along baseboards, stairs, furniture, etc. I wish the motorized brush worked on the hose so I could get into small spaces like the cat tree and the car floor.
I got one last time, it works great! Obviously isn’t designed to be a primary vacuum for floors, but I use it for furniture and the areas my Roomba can’t reach!
I bought a Shark bagless hand-held vacuum last Christmas (in fact I bought 2, one as an X-mas gift) at Boscov’s for $19.95 and it was new (same features but appearance was a little different).
Wow. Still quite a few VMPs, eh? I figure most VMPs who would have wanted it would have already bought it. I would have liked it, but I have something like this that I picked up somewhere.
I thought the cord was long enough for what I use it for, and I was impressed at how quiet it was. Used it to clean off workbenches and the carpet around my desk at the office. (Yep, not so very neat am I, and the official cleaner-uppers there vacuum only once a year.)
After having this for a few weeks, I think I can give it a decent review.
One of the best meh purchases ever.
Excellent for vacuuming the stairs. I’ve always struggled with carpeted stairs. Cordless vacuums lacked the necessary suckage, and using the attachments with my Dyson means balancing it on the stairs with one hand and vacuuming with the other ( I seriously lack coordination & also have physical limitations 'cause of medical stuffs).
I find the cord sufficient in length.
It’s also not too heavy which is important for me.
I think it seems loud because being handheld, it’s just closer to the ears.
Great for furniture, dry spillage & cat hair. And cat hair. And cat hair. Damn cat oughtta be bald by now.
I highly recommend if it comes up again. Especially at meh’s price.
Shark hand held vac has been working great for me…Furniture, car, stairs, saddles, horse trailer tack room. It’s supper easy to dump when full. So far I’ve only needed extention cord for outside stuff. Great buy! Thanks meh!

Sucks and it should-- btw I bought one before and it’s a nice vacuum cleaner –
Nope!
This really sucks
@0Wise1 How do you come up with this stuff he asked as he slapped his knee !
If I had hair like that on my couch, I’d probably just buy a new couch.
@norman8 Like my wookie couch?
@norman8 And this is Chewy’s third cousin who had an unfortunate mishap with his Shark Rocket Handheld Vacuum.
So, if you want to vacuum your floor you’d have to crawl around?
@Pantheist Yeah, I wonder about that, too. I keep thinking Gee, it’s handheld, it’s powerful, and there’s nothing much you can clean with it. Maybe people who have it can comment on how they use it?

@Pantheist I got one last time and I love it. I use it for the stairs, the car and small jobs. I have 2 cats and this picks up cat litter very well

The y wing is a bomber not a fighter jet.
I don’t know about this sucking, but Meh sucks at math
379 of you visited.
48% on a phone, 12% on a tablet.
453 clicked meh
@laidbackoh
Which part of that are you questioning?
@PlacidPenguin look at visited vs clicked meh
@Pantheist
@PlacidPenguin Absolutely adore Scarlett Johannsen.
@Pantheist Sometimes I click meh so fast that I didn’t even have time to visit.

@Alereon I needed hearing protection just to read this

@Alereon
What’s with the Star Wars stuff? Did someone else just watch Rogue One and realize that it sucks?
Oh. Now I get it.
Less Shark Rocket items, more Shark Tank items.
@JT954 Like this?
@mike808 I’m not pretending.
Got one last time. Was missing the motorized brush and the hinge for the base/cover was busted. Was told to call Shark and never received a replacement. Vacuum works fine, but the bungee holding the cover on is a little silly.
And just cause…
Sharks are scary and dangerous, so I’ll pass.
I was hoping to be the first to say this Sux… how about then… “this is not the Euphemism you are looking for.”
@SoftAsFur Ha. Ha. Yuk it up, fuzzball.
Tonight’s meh . . . a very painful bidet.
Corded? Hahahahahahahaha…
@mfladd Eggs Ackely!
@halnwheels Eggs Zachary.
Does this work in space?
Not a single shark joke in the write-up? You can’t afford to be missing these easy shots, Mehwriters.
However, hella fat swaggering props go to whoever decided the world needs more burgundy-coloured vacuums.

@jake5snooze Chicks dig that gif.
@JT954 Good to know, 'cause I have no idea what it is.
@jake5snooze Megas XLR!
Got one last time and it works great. And no worries about losing power after a few minutes. I have been very happy with it.
@lordbowen Same here. I just ordered another one for my mom. I have gone through too many cordless ones that give up way too quickly and have finally decided to just admit that I need a corded one. I really like this one and having the cord is no where near as much of a pain as is losing suction with the cordless ones.
@lordbowen Finally, a review I can use. Geez…
what are coach fibers?
@spacemart Fibers that can’t afford first class or business class.
X-Wings may be Spitfires, but Y-Wings are Hurricanes.
I got one of these last time they were on. Great on the stairs, gets thick pet fur off the couch, easy to empty.

@tydalforce Batteries aren’t electric?
I got one last time and I love it! It’s great for stairs, cars, yachts, smaller aircraft and Soyuz space capsules. Mostly I use mine for my car and stairs because I don’t have those other things.
@kenp11 Well look at Mr. Fancy with his car and his stairs.
@kenp11 This would be much more practical for cleaning a Soyuz than the method they tried on Soyuz 11, venting all the air to space.
Will this get here in time for mother’s day? All mothers love vacuum cleaners as gifts.
/image best mother’s day present
@OnionSoup Not as much as they love cooking utensils and breast pumps.
@OnionSoup
I really hope your joking!
@mike808
Breast pumps, the gift that keeps on giving.
Do no lactating mother’s like them too? I guess I’ll find out in a few weeks, Thanks for the suggestion Mike.
/image scary breast pump
Will Dyson attachments fit this? I know it’s a long shot, but…
@mrdancer Do you have duct tape?
I have one from the last offering. BUT, a that time we had no choice of color! I’m sure if I had a different color my vacume experience would really be enhanced. Such is life.
I have 4 cats and 3 dogs. I can never have enough cleaning implements.
HV292REF - hand vac 292 refurbished … took that many tries to get it to suck.
How do I get an order number, number mind you, of “unguarded cagey oven.” The order was for the vac, but now I’m worried. Do I have to guard a new oven which I didn’t really want? Cagey, WTF? @MarcoPolo2150
My orders have come as decribed within the given time frame. I wouldn’t worry. Just a bit of silliness to break up the meh!
Picked one up before and it’s pretty decent – used it a few days ago, in fact – but, the motorized brush actually doesn’t do much at all. It will spin, but apply any pressure to vacuum, and mine pretty much stops.

Missed by 3 minutes. Oh drats.
Wow. Still quite a few VMPs, eh? I figure most VMPs who would have wanted it would have already bought it. I would have liked it, but I have something like this that I picked up somewhere.
Works ok on couches and stairs.
I wanted one !!! Dagnabbiitty please let me buy one if one is left
I bought one because pet hair.

The carpet-whisking attachment is a neat idea.
Wondering if my vac is ever going to be shipped to me…
@Sara75006 possibly it was sent to a black hole to help with the sucking there…

Awesome vac. Perfect for doggo hair on furniture. Other vacs tore the furniture up and didn’t even clean well. This one is amazing
