Shark All The Movies: A Photoshop Contest
24In honor of Shark We- uh, let’s call it Seven Days of Sharks on Basic Cable, we want you to take a regular old non-shark movie and vastly improve it with the addition of sharks. Just stick a shark into any movie and devour us with pure entertainment! Doesn’t this sharked-up movie poster by our own @kylethephotoguy look like way more fun than the original?
Here are the rules:
The Assignment: create a movie poster or DVD cover adding at least one shark to an unlikely movie (either a real movie without sharks, or one you made up in a genre that usually doesn’t feature sharks).
Submit entries: by posting right here in the official Shark All The Movies Photoshop Contest forum thread. Here’s where entries will be judged by our panel and starred by your fellow community members.
Deadline: Entries must by posted by 11:59 PM EDT on Friday, July 1. Forum voting continues until 11:59 EDT on Monday, July 4. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, July 5.
Prizes
Judges’ Choice: we select one winner to receive four $25 Meh coupon codes. Entries will be judged by a panel of Meh staff members based on originality, humor, relevance to the theme, and Photoshop skill.
Mob Favorite: the entrant who created the most-starred entry in the forum will receive one $25 Meh coupon code.

Mosasaurs are not sharks, they are a marine reptile. Giant prehistoric shark would be megalodon, which would be another awesome addition, though that was no where near the Triassic time frame most of those Dinos were pulled from. My children are waaaay too into this stuff.

All my own originals photographs… (except the Finding Nemo logo. ) The little goldfish was trapped in a pond filter and I rescued him, asked him to wear the fin (just kidding… I drew that part in afterward) and then released him into the main pond where he lives happily ever after with a great story to tell.
We had a great time together.

The standard poster seemed too easy, so I went for a 30th anniversary poster, instead. But that bottom logo should give you a pretty good idea of what the plain poster would have looked like.

Sooo… I started doing a “Chumline” theme with a shark drummer, but then this happened.
Edit: Also toyed with using lemon sharks as the drum sticks and having a tagline with something like, “When life hands you lemon sharks, you march to your own beat.”

In terms of sheer effort & quality I’d go with either Caddyshark or Young Frankenshark (the latter is pretty phenom - that font work!)
@Pufferfishy Thank you for the compliment on the font work. It was quite a challenge. The shark didn’t quite turn out the way I intended, but at least it captured the essence of sharkness.
