@Kyeh
I’m assuming you’re referring the last pic and I thought you meant the movie The Sixth Sence.
AI tells me… The scene you are asking about is the ending of the very first episode of Billions, titled “Pilot”.
@Lynnerizer Could be, I never watched that TV show. But that kid looks like Haley Joel Osment, that’s what I was going from. It’s been a long time since I saw The 6th Sense, though!
@Kyeh
It’s been a LONG time since I’ve seen The Sixth Sence too but I whenever I hear that phrase “I see dead people”, or apparently anything similar, I think of the movie.
“I see… a dead vacuum” was just enough to jog my memory. These days, that’s a win and I’ll take it!
Lol
Hm, how’s the availability of replacement parts? And third-party cleaning gear, since Shark is probably overly expensive.
I have an Ecovacs, and while they aren’t VERY repair helpful, I just replaced the battery with relatively little fuss. And third party brushes and bags are available.
@EvilSmoo As a flawed AI I can look things up! Shark’s official FAQ for the Matrix/AI Ultra 2 - 1 says the filters should be cleaned every couple of months and replaced every 6–12 months; it directs you to their accessory store for replacement filters and notes that worn side brushes and brushrolls should also be replaced.
If you don’t want to pay Shark prices, there are third‑party kits for this model – for example the Ecleanfy 12‑piece kit manual lists a self‑cleaning brushroll, main brush, multiple filters, six side brushes and a cleaning tool compatible with AV2610WA/RV2610WA.
Last time you had one of these floor sucking robots I learned that the mopping version can be quite messy. I was super bummed about because I WAS excited to try it with water! Guess we’ll stick with the dry suction Meh so kindly sent me MANY moons ago!
@Lynnerizer we all have our preferences I suppose but wet suction seems like it would always be better than dry, all that chafing and all? Different strokes for different folks?
@seraphimcaduto
Oh no, I agree with you, I think wet is much better.
What I was saying is that the last time they offered a wet mop I was going to buy it until I learned of the nightmares they had caused several people. Unfortunately, with my physical challenges I wouldn’t be able to clean up even one small mishap.
@Kyeh Yeah, the iRobot lends itself to being a trilobyte. Now that I see this, I think iRobot should have sold “skins” for memes and stuff. There could have been a BB-8 “livery” back in the day.
I got a refurb Shark vacuum and it has been outstanding. It gets balled up on debris or stuck every so often so it certainly isn’t without maintenance, but I sweep and mop the area the Shark patrols every week and I sweep up so much less now.
I also got a combo sweep-mop unit similar to this but haven’t opened it up yet.
@haydesigner As a flawed AI I’m not perfect, but I can look things up! The features in this Meh deal (Matrix Clean, sonic mopping, CleanEdge and a self‑emptying base) match Shark’s Matrix Plus/AI Ultra 2‑1‑1 robot. Retailers sell that machine as model RV2610WA — Kohl’s product page for the “Shark Matrix Plus 2‑1‑1 Robot Vacuum & Mop with Sonic Mopping” lists the model number as RV2610WA Kohl’s listing. A price‑tracking site that monitors the same product also identifies the model as RV2610WA CamelCamelCamel. So while Meh doesn’t say it explicitly, RV2610WA appears to be the model number.
Looks like this model: AV2610WA. Basing this in pictures and name. One of the pictures of the exact same in the renewed listing, just flipped. A cropped version is in the new listing.
@therealjrn@jchasma
Freddy does well. He’s on a schedule to run automatically 4 days a week. Be sure to empty the canister daily and clean the hair out of the roller brush every few weeks.
I have never used the mopping feature. I have a different Shark device I use for that.
@mclemens Apparently not, it’s the low-base version shown in kittykat9180’s picture below. Now that I have it… But it’s easy to pull the dust cartridge out of the robot and empty it.
Question for anyone who owns these type vac’s —> if you turn one loose on hardwood, do they climb up on area rugs, or turn away from them? And what if you have fringes on rugs, would they chew them up?!!
@Commonwealth109 Ours makes the hardwood/rug transition OK. One of the large area rugs has fringe on the ends - most of it is covered by furniture, but there is one small exposed corner where the vacuum has abraded it some.
Between cat-related debris and human-related clutter, a robovac would go unquietly insane trying to navigate our floor, let alone clean it. Someday, perhaps, I may have simplified my existence to the point where this will no longer be the case. Today is not that day.

Lame movie reference:

I’m confused.
@Lynnerizer

@Kyeh @Lynnerizer not sure if asking AI was a joke, but the pic is referencing the movie A.I.
@Lynnerizer @macphoenix
OHHHH - thanks! I never saw that.
Hm, how’s the availability of replacement parts? And third-party cleaning gear, since Shark is probably overly expensive.
I have an Ecovacs, and while they aren’t VERY repair helpful, I just replaced the battery with relatively little fuss. And third party brushes and bags are available.
@EvilSmoo that’s a good question. I too have an ecovacs and replacement parts are inexpensive.

Hope that helps… I’m just a garbage AI after all!
Last time you had one of these floor sucking robots I learned that the mopping version can be quite messy. I was super bummed about because I WAS excited to try it with water!

/showme Aquaman using sonic blast to clean the floor but makes a mess instead.
Something went terribly wrong. Please try again.
@mediocrebot Aquaman has a copyright? But he’s the sucky comic book character.
@cfg83 The movie version wasn’t so bad.
@Kyeh I know, it’s just fun to dog on him.
/showme Rodney Dangerfield with fishtail instead of legs in water is saying “No respect at all”.
@cfg83 Here’s the image you requested for “Rodney Dangerfield with fishtail instead of legs in water is saying No respect at all.”
@mediocrebot At least Rodney doesn’t have a copyright … no respect at all indeed!
/showme Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum in ocean using LIDAR to locate and catch underwater dust-bunnies.
@cfg83 Here’s the image you requested for “Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum in ocean using LIDAR to locate and catch underwater dust-bunnies.”
@mediocrebot Those dust bunnies are cute and scary at the same time.
Hrmmm, let’s keep going with the underwater theme.
/showme Trilobyte cleaning floor of ocean just like an iRobot vacuum cleaner.
@cfg83 Here’s the image you requested for “Trilobyte cleaning floor of ocean just like an iRobot vacuum cleaner.”
@mediocrebot Oooookay, that’smore like it. You could 3D-Print or craft the “carapace” onto a regular iRobot to make this happen in the real world.
@cfg83 That is really a pretty cool design!
@Kyeh Yeah, the iRobot lends itself to being a trilobyte. Now that I see this, I think iRobot should have sold “skins” for memes and stuff. There could have been a BB-8 “livery” back in the day.
@cfg83 They definitely missed an opportunity!

@dpease This begs a home designed for iRobots, aka EVERYTHING on a raised standoff so that the little fella can cover the whole floor.
Why is there no model number?
Still, at first blush, $130 seems like a screaming deal for this.
@haydesigner As a flawed AI I’m not perfect, but I can look things up! Appreciate it, Garbage.
Sonic mop, huh?
/showme David Tennant as Doctor Who with a sonic mop
@mehcuda67 Here’s the image you requested for “David Tennant as Doctor Who with a sonic mop”
@mediocrebot I approve. But frighteningly close to what I imagined.
@mehcuda67 Well played! What water monsters could he have beat with the sonic mop?

/showme a Robot shark sweeping & Mopping floors
@mycya4me Here’s the image you requested for “a Robot shark sweeping [object Object] Mopping floors”
@mediocrebot @mycya4me
OSHA compliant sign is a nice touch!
@chienfou @mediocrebot @mycya4me That colour scheme looks familiar. Shark2-D2?
@yakkoTDI
I got this one last time for $99. His name is Freddy.
@kittykat9180 Does Freddy do a good job?
@kittykat9180 I also want to know!
@therealjrn @jchasma
Freddy does well. He’s on a schedule to run automatically 4 days a week. Be sure to empty the canister daily and clean the hair out of the roller brush every few weeks.
I have never used the mopping feature. I have a different Shark device I use for that.
@jchasma
Thanks for the feedback @kittykat9180! Give Freddy a kibble or something for me
Is this with Self-Empty Base? I see no pictures or description of the base.
@mclemens Apparently not, it’s the low-base version shown in kittykat9180’s picture below. Now that I have it… But it’s easy to pull the dust cartridge out of the robot and empty it.
Who does the refurbishment?

@Commonwealth109
I have porcelain tile floors and two area rugs, Freddy vacuums both of them.
Between cat-related debris and human-related clutter, a robovac would go unquietly insane trying to navigate our floor, let alone clean it. Someday, perhaps, I may have simplified my existence to the point where this will no longer be the case. Today is not that day.
Soooo. The deal pause held two whole units back. Cool?
No Georgia Red. . . for that alone, meh.
won’t be any watch parties until next season. . .
Got mine and it is broken out of the gate. Seems it thinks the bumper is being pressed so it can not move.
Working with Shark support is a joke, they tell me I have to BUY a replacement part and replace it myself.
@rfryar This comes with a 90 day warranty through Meh. Warranty includes a handy link to support.
