Sellout warning? Bouncing button equivalent?
0Sorry if this has already been brought up. I tried searching, but it only looks at titles.
I don't know the history of the "bouncing button" on the other site that warned us that a sellout was imminent, but in the genius that is Meh, is that something that has been decided against?
As far as sales go, I suppose it serves no real function, because if you get to that point, you've pretty much already accomplished your goal.
I was thinking though... what a great perk that would be for VMP members!

It was brought up (at least for the API) here but it seems like something that probably won't happen.
I can see why it's not something that would be implemented for making more sales--but if viewed in terms of a VMP perk, I don't see how it hurts anything. Just one more reason for people to become a VMP.
Unless the reasoning is it causes people to procrastinate. That may be a valid point...
@phatmass But the number of early morning sellouts ought to rule out procrastination at this point. My guideline is that if I load the site at 11 and there's something I want, it's probably almost gone.
