This is Muffy. I’ve had Muffy since my freshman year of college, circa 100 years ago. I lost her for a while, but when I found her I discovered someone (not me) had chewed off her ears. I purchased some pink felt in a futile attempt to replace her ears, but since I lack sewing skills, as you can see that never happened. Aside from Muffy inherently looking sad, it makes me sad seeing that her little pink ears are gone
Futurama season 5 episode 2 - Jurassic Bark (specifically the montage where we find out that Fry’s dog Seymour dutifully waited for him in the same spot for 12 years after Fry got frozen - requisite sad music playing of course).
If the episode comes on I have to leave the room before the end.
The boat that my pop and brother built together before we found out my dad had brain cancer. He only got to go out on it a couple times before he died. It makes me sad because it’s not going to be around much longer.
@curtise You’re a whole country away from Mexico, so this phenomenon probably doesn’t reach near you.
Cinco de Mayo is a minor Mexican holiday that American marketers have translated into roughly the Mexican 4th of July (maybe this is like Canada Day? I’m not sure).
So every Mexican restaurant and bar (they all have bars) has special activities going on and everyone decides that they need to get hammered on two for one margaritas or dos Equis and have Mexican food.
Some of our friends wanted to do that as well. We scouted out five Mexican restaurants tonight before we found a place to have dinner. Some were shuttling customers from extra parking a half mile away. Every Mexican restaurant was packed. This poorly drawn rendition depicts me and my family attempting to park at a Mexican restaurant on this holiday.
I really wished I could have talked our friends into Asian fusion, that place was totally empty and we probably could have had the chef hang out with us. But, like the rest of our area citizens, some of us were dead set on tacos.
All that said, once we finally got around to the actual dinner, it was really quite good.
I actually wanted to do misspelled signs (well, specifically, the unnecessary apostrophe) but I was beaten to the punch on that one.
@curtise but everyone who knows anything is shorting tribbles and pulling back all the way into fiat. These haxors are going to bitblt their own wallets until they are all xored out. All those clicks, wasted!
