How to Use: As a dietary supplement, take two (2) veggie capsules once daily. For best results, take 20-30 min before a meal with an 8oz glass of water or as directed by your healthcare professional.
@jwoody27 These should be considered “support” for liver health. They’re not going to “cure” fatty liver. That’ll be more a function of one’s diet. Talk to your doctor first, but I take two Milk Thistle extract every day & combined with a MUCH healthier diet have reversed my fatty liver disease in one year’s time. (I’ve also lost 128# over the past year, which helps significantly!)
Abstract: Although physicians often avoid prescribing statins for patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver, their use has been found to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality—and to lower liver enzymes.
…Or a statin and Zetia:
“The effect of ezetimibe on NAFLD”
Administration of combination therapy with a statin plus ezetimibe, associated with lifestyle changes, may represent an effective strategy because of the strong reduction in low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels.
“Statins on nonalcoholic fatty liver disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis of 14 RCTs”
Maybe you’d have better luck selling these individually instead of a six pack? If I’m gonna try some dietary supplement quackery, I’d much rather throw away one $5 bottle than six.
I really hope nobody is actually gullible enough to buy this, but I already know the answer to that. Genuinely disappointed to see this crap shoveled on meh for a second time
https://www.healthline.com/health/liver-supplement provides a good summary of liver-related stuff like this – tl;dr: May help, but there is not enough evidence to prove it (and, conversely, there exist proven ways to improve liver health, like: limiting dietary fat, avoiding toxins, not consuming large quantities of alcohol, avoiding chronic use of drugs)
Anyone with elevated liver AST, ALT needs to do a liver flush. (Among other things) Dr Clark’s is the gold standard. I cured cirrhosis and fatty liver. Took me 13 years so i know a lot about it. These would be for maintenance. Not a ‘cleanse’. Take liver disease seriously.
@Felyne
Hi, and just to be clear- I meant no disrespect nor to discount your progress- you are to be commended on it.
That said, with the possible exception of the medications mentioned above, and maybe milk thistle, most, if not all of the nostrums promoted for liver [and any other organ] detoxification are just simply BS.
@PhysAssist Dandelion and Artichoke leaf are both excellent as well. Berberine, great for other issues. Chanca Piedra, great for gallbladder softening.
@Felyne@PhysAssist NAFLD - Sure you can lose visceral fat via diet and lifestyle changes. Cirrhosis - No. You can’t cure cirrhosis because it’s permanent scarring. The only way to get rid of cirrhosis is via lobectomy or a transplant.
@markwilley@PhysAssist YouRe 100% WRONG! I had it or 25 years, the doc at Yale told me to stop using supplements. I didn’t listen, thank God. My ND said to keep using them and after 2 years of unremarkable ultrasounds he said, “Keep doing what you’re doing”. You are greatly misinformed, my friend. Your liver can regenerate. Wake up.

I like my liver to stay toxic and dirty
@OnionSoup Melvin, is that you?
Does this work to repair all pill types?
I always clean my liver before frying it with onions and bacon !! Yum yum!!
@IndifferentDude Never had it with bacon! Now I’m hungry…
@Vee19 It’s the best! You’ll love it!
I’m dying at “my liver levels were elevated”!
You know, I’ve been feeling like maybe I have too much of a liver. Perhaps these pills could help…
Hmm, my Dr. did say my ‘check liver’ light was on. Will these help?
I actually do have a fatty liver. Does anyone have any experience with these?

@jwoody27 @tohar1 Congrats! Great story and helpful post!
@jwoody27 @tohar1
Maybe talk to your doctor about starting a statin:
“Statins for patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver?”
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3183966/pdf/JFP-60-536.pdf
Abstract: Although physicians often avoid prescribing statins for patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver, their use has been found to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality—and to lower liver enzymes.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10313296/pdf/medi-102-e33981.pdf
Conclusion: Statins can significantly reduce liver biochemical indicators in patients with NAFLD.
Look meh, there are less hokey ways for you to tell me I’ve been drinking too much while visiting family this holiday season.
This is not a thing. This is not how bodies work.
Buy a crystal, at least then you’ll have some jewelry to wear.
Don’t know nothing bout no liver, but even I know it ain’t John Hopkins. It’s JohnS Hopkins. Dummies.
LOL

Herpetoleates.
Maybe this would be a better approach? Although $29 will only get you about 15 cans: https://www.cnn.com/2024/12/26/business/video/athletic-brewing-non-alcoholic-beer-digvid
Is this a casemates product?
@tweezak There’s supposedly some pretty decent alcohol free wine. I’ve been enjoying the Athletic non-alcoholic beer.
@ergomeh Athletic is good. If you want a really fresh tasting IPA see if you can get No-Mo River Refresher. Great taste and only 30 calories.
I really hope nobody is actually gullible enough to buy this, but I already know the answer to that. Genuinely disappointed to see this crap shoveled on meh for a second time
“May support brain health” It MAY also not do a damn thing.
@JvB It MAY make you sprout wings & be able to fly around the neighborhood, but then again, it MAY not…
@tohar1 6 bottles of endless possibilities
What did meh do? Buy all the stuff from a going out of business snake oil store?
@Kidsandliz Pretty sure you just nailed their entire business model.
@ircon96 “…do not gripe or purge, but by their gentle action please all who use them.”
@Kyeh Gotta love the old copywriters, they had such a mellifluous way with words!

@andymand
That’s crazy talk!
I already bought a six pack. I still have 4 bottles left. Meh for sure.

@Felyne
No offense- but this is all just snake oil and hog wash…
In fact, I’m surprised that Mehmet Oz isn’t behind it.
@PhysAssist It’s a lot of work to reverse liver disease. As I said, took me 13 years of hard work every day.
@Felyne

Nuka Cola?!? Thank you! It’s like I can finally think straight. I gave up alcohol after settling down here. Doctors said I shot my liver.
Love meh but…this stuff is trash and I’m sad to see them peddling it.
@SChannell Days like these are the filler episodes of your favorite TV series.
lol I love the idea that taking a supplement, which gives your liver more stuff to filter out, would somehow help it
Saw a toxicologist post this:
Here’s a complete explanation of how detox supplements work:
They don’t.
@ParadisePete
Gold there, that’s what that is!
/showme a quack selling pills
@mediocrebot
@mediocrebot Disappointed picture was not a duck.
Which honestly, was most of my commentary throughout the Louvre.
@mcanavino
/giphy duck selling supplements
/showme yummy-singing-mouse
TIL mint helps lose weight!
Also new, Johns Hopkins says less liver is better for me?
2024 is almost over…And I ate sushi
@posmr15 But did you share some with a black cat while sheltering under a stepladder?
Black-eyed peas are nasty. If I don’t eat any, my luck for the year has already improved.
Touché, anonymous Meh writer!
