So, I thought some people would be dismayed at the thought of a month of silent goat miming, but judging from the response (or lack of same) maybe I should just go with it?

Nah, gloating will be more fun, I think.

Simple Definition of gloat
2. to show in an improper or selfish way that you are happy with your own success or another person's failure
