@haydesigner Yup. If that Carhartt backpack from two weeks ago weren’t sitting there beside me, pristine and as yet unused, I’d be all over this. But it is so I’m not.
@kus as i browse meh on my x220… I love it!!! do you not like it ??? yes i’m in IT… and it has the i7 that was current at its release with intel 750 ssd and 8GBram.
@CrossIT I have a y510p, not a Thinkpad. Stepped on my T410 so stupid of me. Anyways, how much would it cost me to buy something like yours today? My 15" isn’t easy to log around. I am in it as well. are you hiring?

@Endreo They don’t really check that unless its like a carry on roller type baggage. If its on your back or you’re toting it in your hand. They generally don’t bother you.
@Drunkenalien i work for a chain of luggage stores. They’re getting stricter and I’ve had customers complain about it in the last week that everything was going in the box, on wheels or not.
@lucasoutloud It’s probably pretty functional. I don’t know, it looks like it has some functions? But then, I feel like when you start measuring a bag in liters, it’s for a hiking/camping venture, and I don’t know that these squat sort of bags do well for that vs. a tall, skinny bag. But for the price, I think it may meet one of your two criteria, sort of.
Even though I already have several perfectly serviceable backpacks (no less than two of which I got from Meh), I still don’t have a proper big hiking bag. True, I’ve only gone on a real multi-day hike a grand total of once, and that was a few years ago, but I did have to borrow a real bag for that trip…
Oh, what the heck, 28 bucks, I’m in for one. A gray one, since that spiderwebby pattern and the big bold “Capacity 40L” are a little strange looking, and they seem to be a lot less noticeable on the gray.
I’ve been reading/loving meh.com and the forum. I was on the fence to buy this pack, then went to meh.com and it’s onto the Sunday’s cup deal. I thought meh changed their product at 12am CST (10pm PST)?
Got my backpack yesterday – looks good. Love the frame and the hip belt and the straps. BUT… the 40L spec is reaallly stretching it. Here it is with my daughter’s LL Bean 30L school backpack, and two 1L bottles. I realize that backpack measurements aren’t standard , but wow. Or should I say, meh.
Mine arrived today. It’s a nice enough bag, but yeah, I was expecting it to be bigger. If anything, it’s actually a little smaller than my everyday laptop bag, which makes all of the straps and buckles and load-bearing gadgets of a hiking bag seem kind of silly.
Ah well, I’m sure I’ll find a use for it. Maybe for that bag of emergency supplies that I’ve been meaning to put together and keep in the car.
I received my pack as well yesterday. I have to agree with prior posts on the size. It’s smaller than another 40L pack I have. It does have a lot of compartments which I like. My biggest problem is with the manufacturer. Their website gave the indication that they were making packs in Texas, USA. One reason for me to buy this pack. I was extremely disappointed when I opened the pack to a big “made in china” tag. Guess I’ll see how it holds up.
Love the backpacks!!! They traveled all through Peru and the Inca trail and were perfect. Still in Peru now… Home soon with my favorite backpack!! Thank you
Ordered two for the kids’ to have for school. They love them and it easily holds all their stuff…to the point where they have “lost” their items in the various compartments.
Revisiting this purchase. Absolutely no way this pack is 40L. 100% lie. It’s probably 30L. Nice bag, but SUBSTANTIALLY smaller than advertised and expected. I can barely fit a full size Frisbee in there.

What a meh product. I am going to pack it in for the night.
U bluffing me meh?
Everytime I see a backpack come up here at Meh, I think “Oh, I could use that!”
And then I realize that I already have about 4 backpacks, 3 of which I bought from Meh.
/giphy thanks, but no thanks
@haydesigner I was looking for a bag to take with me to GenCon when I realized within a few feet of me, I had 16 bags of various kinds and sizes.
2 large duffle bags.
2 medium duffle bags
2 small duffle bags
2 backpacks
1 camelback
2 laptop bags
3 guitar bags
1 DLSR bag
1 sling bag. For day trips.
I have a bag fetish.

@kus you can’t do this to me on the weekend!
@mehdaf but I love you xx

@xerdkwa @CrossIT +1 in the X220 club. Such a perfect little machine.
@xerdkwa
I shopped for months to get the perfect x220. Put 16g of ram in that bad boy. Best. Laptop. Ever.
@brhfl Seconded. Only if it also came with USB 3.0; I didn’t know it only came with i7 version when I ordered it.
@heartbleed That was what pushed me over the edge to get the i7. Only one of the three ports is USB 3.0, but still… nice to have it.
Have backpacks become the new speaker docks?
@heartny only if they have light bulbs in them.
@heartny Espresso. And those tiny drones.

Did all the potential Amazon reviewers die using this item, too?
@gertiestn Ha, yeah it had me wondering if Amazon took em down so meh couldn’t benefit…
Found this:

The whistle integrated into the pack is the best idea I’ve seen in a long while, too many people forget those little life-savers on their day hikes.
@cercopithecoid they deserve to die…

I prefer messenger bags. Sorry meh.
@ELUNO You mean mehssenger bags, don’t you?
@heartny You don’t have to be so mehticulous.

You are right I don’t need a Region Free Blu-ray Player another Backpack will be just fine.
What the meh! I’ll use it someday.
ghostly-thoughtless-button
Can this be brought on a plane in addition to a carry on roller?
@Endreo nooo! Don’t do that. This bag is actually an inch too wide to be your actually carry-on bag. (Carry on size is 22x14x9)
@Endreo They don’t really check that unless its like a carry on roller type baggage. If its on your back or you’re toting it in your hand. They generally don’t bother you.
@aristan thank you, I would definitely rather not risk it.
@Drunkenalien i work for a chain of luggage stores. They’re getting stricter and I’ve had customers complain about it in the last week that everything was going in the box, on wheels or not.
This backpack isn’t cute at all. What’s the point of having a bag if it’s not good looking? And functional I guess.
Meh: buy out some, like, factory defective Chrome bags or weird Timbuk2 tablet sleeves.

I like it!
