@mfladd I loved it a kid too, but the Royal Guardsman really milked that song for all its worth. The Christmas version was actually a sequel to their original “Snoopy vs. The Red Baron” (same tune different words) and they went back to the well with re-issues and remakes right up to "Snoopy vs. Osama” in 2006.
@DrWorm@mfladd
There were actually three songs
Snoopy vs. the Red Baron (1966) #44
Return of the Red Baron (1967) did not chart
Snoopy and His Friends (1967) #46
Interesting info. Was a little distracted by his reading pace. I’ve watched a few of his videos before and this is the only time I noticed that he wasn’t fluid when reading the Baron’s notes.
I once knew a guy. He asked me to buy him the red Baron kite. I didn’t really know what it was at the time. He happened to have a swastika tattoo that he was very embarrassed of and covered up. He was also blonde and blue eyed and so was I.

I was a WWI airplane geek as a kid- I blame my dad. I knew all about Richtofen and the Flying Circus and had books and made model airplanes. Can you tell I grew up before cable TV?
I had that ‘45’ record as a kid. I loved that song!
