I don’t need more stuff filling up my house, unless it’s something I need (or a really good deal…). And if it’s something I need, I usually just go get it myself.
So consumables (which are fun and don’t take up space for a long time) are the way to go.
@xobzoo This.
I have lots of stuff. (I mean lots of stuff!) So for the ever-dwindling list of things I do need/want, I have very specific choices and it just works best if I pick them out myself.
So my Christmas wish list usually has things like quality dark chocolate, or a particular book I want or similar specific, easy-to-shop, can’t-miss items.
And I often buy a Christmas/birthday present (same month) for myself (and I’m always happy with it ).
Frozen meat from a local butcher, or canned goods like salsa or jam from a local farm are nice treats I wouldn’t appreciate the candy/sweets nearly as much.
@pooflady btw unrelated but sometimes for early AM entertainment I watch Sky News from England and they broadcast English Parliament sometimes. I like how they use “right” as in the “right honorable gentleman” from the other party is clearly wrong and our problems are caused by his years of mismanagement of the budget.

I’m diabetic, so definitely no.
As long as they know how picky I am and I like dark chocolate and almonds are off limits.
Where is the “Depends on what it is” answer?
Please. All right is two words and has two lls. That isn’t difficult. I do proofreading and can overlook most of the crap online, but this is blatant.
@pooflady I’m not alright with that.
@pooflady I blame ‘already’

So you can be right and wrong at the same time!
@pmarin You probably use it alot.
