@RiotDemon@sammydog01@sillyheathen mediocritee is so good. I have to discipline myself to not buy more often than I already do. Yes, I do. I really don’t need to spend that much on t-shirts–especially since us big folks (4XL; I still think there should be a 4 XLT) have to pay more.
I pretty much only buy things that I have extraordinarily strong feelings about, and not always then.
@sammydog01 I almost ordered the skeletons when they were on… I just pictured wearing I don’t need no body and forgetting it when around kids or the sensitive types and didn’t get it to protect my reputation. I shouldn’t have cared so much.
I do like the road work with contrast. Mine is stealth.
@djslack@sammydog01 I bought the “don’t need no body” and “I’m getting too old for this shit.” Unfortunately the envelope opened during shipping and the super strong glue got stuck to both shirts. I washed and washed and washed those poor things because they couldn’t print me any new ones. They refunded me. I was so bummed. After a bunch of chemicals that I was afraid was going to ruin the shirts and I don’t know how many more washes, I finally got the glue removed enough that it’s barely noticeable. Now I wear them all the time. I get a lot of chuckles and people tell me they like em. I only had one lady that looked at the no body shirt and she didn’t really get it.
I really give no fucks if someone is going to be offended by my shirt.
@RiotDemon just further proof that you are more metal than I. I should have given zero fucks and pulled the trigger. I couldn’t remember getting too old for this shit, it must be true. But that was the other one I wanted. I like sleep too much for sleep when I’m dead.
I would buy one for my husband but after having to pack up his closet and realizing that he had 3x the boxes I did and mostly of stuff he just refuses to get rid of I think I’ll buy a couple for myself.
meh, this needs to be a regular thing. Please, take my money (especially since it was only $4 per).
Next time (godsdamnit, there’d better be a next time) we need to make a separate reveal thread, imnsho.
I’m happier about this even than I anticipated.
So, the thing is, I absolutely wouldn’t have purchased either of these shirts. The one about sleep implies a sentiment that I’m violently opposed to (I’d fight over it, but I’m too goddamned lazy). But that makes wearing them more amusing. And, JFC, the dance one. So not me. I’m sure I’ll laugh every time I put it on, and the wife will laugh every time she sees me in it. Also, since I carefully curate my image as a slobby slacker with particular opinions and also don’t like to fuck up any of my cherished t-shirts (even though I have a shit ton of them) I feel that much more comfortable wearing these oddballs around the house, getting coffee and marina and other assorted foodstuffs on them.
@joelmw I should add that the softness and general quality of meh shirts has always made me want to wear them around the house, but the perfection of sentiment they express has always made me hesitant. And, my previous favorite super soft (“ten ply” as the Letterkenny kids would say) shirts that I got on clearance at Dick’s and have never found in the fourteen years since are much worse for the wear and I really do need to throw them away, except they’re so goddamned comfortable and I hadn’t previously found a replacement.
I agree. I’ve actually dreamt of just such a sale. This is partly a consequence of being a 4XL and often getting random clothing in fukus, fukos and IRKs that I’m forced to either give away (which is fine; but others are pickier than I am) or use for rags.
Got my 3 today. We’re these all on mediocritee at some point? I don’t recall most of them. I got the roadwork one others have posted, it’s in a dusty rose color. Then a black shirt that says Ragna-rok. And then this bright orange short (I mean it’s so bright it hurts my eyes) that says trillian astra on it and looks similar to a beer logo.
Love Love loving my surprise shirts: day on the moon, I don’t need no body and Trillium.
Ordered men’s 4x, not because I’m that size but because I needed loose sleep shirts. Not disappointed! I have 3 shirts that are longer than my mini dress sundresses.
@jayman007@joelmw oh good point. I like many others likely thought went to various meh shirts from the thons. Wasn’t thinking about all the weekly prints at mediocretee. Will still be ok, but those are more out there.
@Sneakertree Sadly I was in a meeting, came back to see this, and any size I could fit (though preferably men’s medium) in was gone. Oh well, 4 dollars saved is a mystery shirt not received. Maybe they’ll throw one in my IRK
I got my shirt and it wasn’t a meh.com shirt… Very disappointed with the Freddy Krueger/nightmare before Xmas shirt… Next time let people know it can be literally any shirt and it might not be a random meh.com. I hate horror movies.
