@KDemo I’ve bought some of the cheap plastic ones where the number was as high as 80% inverted. Talk about a waste! And this hammer hack failed spectacularly with them. I just had to go and buy another box.
Genius! Can you share what can be done about faulty knives? Especially the ones that come serrated across the spine and incredibly dull on the edge. I was thinking of a way to use the grout in my bathroom tile as a makeshift abrasive surface to reshape it. It’s easy enough to take the serration down on the spine but I can’t work out how to get new serrations on the business end.
Similarly, some of my knives have the grips inverted with the finger shapes on the wrong side, but that’s easily solved by drilling out the rivets and reinstalling the grips correctly.
I blame cheap Chinese manufacturing processes. It’s like they’ve never even heard of quality control!
@caffeine_dude Hammer hack: You can make a regular hammer into a ball peen hammer with a little help from a grinder. Just turn on the grinder and grind the corners until there aren’t any! Amazing!
I just checked my spoon drawer. It’s true!

@djslack - If only there were a way to check them before buying them.

Another advantage is the added food traction you get from the roughing caused by the bowl inversion!
@thismyusername I was going to buff out the roughness out with a Dremel.
Will this work with a normal hammer? We don’t have any fancy ball peen hammers in the house.

Just a reminder its fridy
@jmoor783 Ah…It makes sense now. @matthew’s spoons got deformed because of the meth.

Someone needs to figure out these faulty knives. They’re really dull and can’t cut anything!
@jayplus707 Oh those are the OSHA approved knives, they’re approved for use by millennials.
I wonder if I can rework this knife I have that has the handle and blade reversed!
these are the only “hack” videos I will watch. They are changing my life.
@thismyusername Whoa that’s a little to outside the box.
