I have owned 2 Pursonic toothbrushes similar to this one (fool me twice). You won’t need 3 years’ worth of brush heads. The toothbrushes tend to fail right around 13 months. That said, $29 may be worth 13 months, and maybe you won’t run into any problems. Just my 2.22 yen.
@fondaporn@pmarin@squishybrain that is probably it. I was googling for a uk definition of bum and it met my joke criteria. From the Cambridge dictionary so.
Nothing wrong with fanny. I think getting a bum unit would be worse than a fanny unit. But regardless I think they should not have overlapping uses
@fondaporn@squishybrain Unfortunately if you sort the Amazon reviews by most recent/critical, there are quite a lot of repeat buyers who say the most recent units aren’t as reliable as the old ones, nor as well-machined where you insert the brush heads. Undecided whether it is worth a shot anyway. Apparently if you get lucky and receive one that isn’t a lemon they are excellent.
@fondaporn I bought one from meh 4 1/2 years ago and it’s going strong. My good fortune could be because I don’t store it on the charger. I only charge it when the battery starts to get low. Leaving it on the charger excessively probably creates more heat than the battery likes over time. I’m tempted to get another one just to get the stash of brushes.
@Blahbbs@fondaporn I got one from a IRK recently, and in my experience the brush can go weeks between charging. Initially I put it in the charger everynight, but then I realized that was overkill and only charge it when it stops buzzing.
@Num1Zero I don’t have one of these. So no comment on what meh is selling
But I have read complaints about head detachable models growing mold because of course the interface between the head and the brush will hold moisture it you leave it on all the time. I usually take mine off and let them dry between uses. But I don’t know if that’s really an issue. Sounds plausible under some conditions.
The top part is water tight obviously I bet you could stand it head side down with the head off in some vinegar over night and kill anything funky.
@Num1Zero so you love one that Always has a dead ass battery¿? Man, you guys are Always confusing me, or my brain’s battery may be brain dead, or I’m just getting too old for this s%#t!! I’m turning into Mr Keith Richards,…And I don’t even snort cocaine!! Zero!!
@Num1Zero@unksol, okay, I’ll try to explain what I meant [or posted]. Mr Num 1 Zero commented that his device smelled fishy [which I didn’t touch on], but after stating he Loved his toothbrush, he stated it’s battery is Always Dead. So, I thought that kinda sounded odd & this provoked my sarcastic response which I posted. If ya didn’t get the joke, it’s probably because it is not meant to be a joke per say, just a comment. But, if ya don’t grasp the sarcasm just, please, simply take it with a grain of salt [meaning simply dismiss the entire comment altogether].
@1DisabledWarVet@Num1Zero lol I think it was his joke. Battery dead. Smells well. He can have that fight. Wife wants another. extracurricular uses are occuring before I offered tips to disinfect.
I didn’t get it till after your comments for some reason though. It was a slow burn
@japraptor@pmarin, Yes, stock photo, but just for full disclosure, like CHEETO, i’m a genius with a really huge ass brain!! BTW, I gotta admit I didn’t ‘say’ it, I posted it, so My Bad!
I just wanna ask if anybody can tell me what they meant by stating, “What your dentist is wrong about: you shouldn’t have to pay a ton of money for one!” Is it just me who thinks this darn statement makes zero fn sense¿? …& BTW, I don’t have a dentist 'cause I have no teeth! Zero!!
@1DisabledWarVet I’m sure it’s simply stating that combined with the statement above it “getting an electric toothbrush is recommended by dentists but you don’t have to pay a lot.”
I.e. it’s not Oral-B or Philips Sonicare and your never going to see one of those goofy 4 out of 5 dentist recommend x commercials for pursonic but it does basically the same job without paying for the brand name.
@guybrush01 Since we’re (I’m) on the topic of Delaware, I thought I’d share this. This is my favorite thing about Delaware. Not so much because of the info contained in the song, or even because it referenced the state I was living in. It’s because my favorite band at the time basically improvised this for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
@guybrush01@Num1Zero Back in the day, I used to have my local CD place special order every new Moxy Fruvous CD from Canada. I got started when I heard King of Spain in passing while radio channel surfing on the way to work one morning. I think Bargainville ended up being my most played CD of all time… Never got to see them live though.
Currently using a Meh Pursonic that I bought 18 months ago, I charge when battery dies, about every 2 weeks at 2 uses/day—no issues. Lasting longer than my $120 Phillips and no $8 brushes!
Obviously YMMV, but no brainer for me.
Will probably pick this up for the back-up and brushes.

Isn’t this even cheaper than buying all the heads by themselves in other places?

@fondaporn I’ve had two as well and they both lasted until I used up the heads. Looks like you got a bum unit
@fondaporn @squishybrain I see the problem. These are meant for teeth not bums
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/pl/dictionary/english/bum
@fondaporn @squishybrain @unksol why is the rest of that page in Polish? Oh I guess maybe the /pl in the path.
Anyway if looking for UK english meaning of words better not look up « fanny »
@fondaporn @pmarin @squishybrain that is probably it. I was googling for a uk definition of bum and it met my joke criteria. From the Cambridge dictionary so.
Nothing wrong with fanny. I think getting a bum unit would be worse than a fanny unit. But regardless I think they should not have overlapping uses
@fondaporn Can confirm that the battery won’t charge right and the vibration control breaks at around 1 year

@Blahbbs @fondaporn update: mine was aquasonic, which I assumed was the same company as pursonic, but it appears not.
I love mine but it smells a little fishy. Battery always seems to be dead too. My wife says I shouldnt pass this deal up so I’ll get another one.
@Num1Zero I don’t have one of these. So no comment on what meh is selling

@Num1Zero, so,that IS what she said!!
Zero!!
@1DisabledWarVet @Num1Zero lol I didn’t get the joke. Which is sad cause I made one.
@Num1Zero wait… You consult with your wife before Meh purchases? Hmm never thought that was a good path for me.
@Num1Zero @rustyh3 I bet as far as purchasing what YOU want at the time not checking works. The repercussions and what you might want later… Meh.

@1DisabledWarVet @Num1Zero and obviously rinse VERY well if you disinfect with any acid/base solution or you will have a very very upset partner
I feel like I shouldn’t have to say this but.
Why does that dentist have a stethoscope?
@japraptor Things that make you go, “Hmm”
@japraptor Can you say « stock photo? »
@japraptor Obviously so when he taps on your tooth he can hear if it’s hollow. How else do you think they find cavities?
@japraptor @pmarin
/image chicken stock photo
@Coldwyn @japraptor Perfect job for someone with that little hearing, no need to listen to the drills and screams.
@japraptor @pmarin, Yes, stock photo, but just for full disclosure, like CHEETO, i’m a genius with a really huge ass brain!! BTW, I gotta admit I didn’t ‘say’ it, I posted it, so My Bad!
@japraptor, a lot of dentists like to pretend they are real medical docs, kinda similar to Mrs Biden,…or rather, Dr Biden!!
No one has mentioned
The meh face is disturbing
Uncanny valley
That’s a lot of head!
@eyesee5769 I’m sure you can find less head for the price elsewhere. Quantity vs quality. Or maybe meh is just really skilled at giving cheap head
Zero!!

OH MY GOD THEY BRUSHED GLEN!!!
None sold in W Virginia. Wonder why. They must be pretty discriminating about tooth brushes there.
These seem to be popular in Delaware.
I’ve lived in Delaware. I can’t for the life of me figure out why they would need toothbrushes there…
@shahnm Something something Joe Biden?
@guybrush01 It wasn’t a political comment. Just a “fond” recollection of my time in Delaware long, long ago…
@guybrush01 Since we’re (I’m) on the topic of Delaware, I thought I’d share this. This is my favorite thing about Delaware. @guybrush01 the lowest highest point! I absolutely love Moxy Fruvous. I don’t know anyone who as heard of them.
@guybrush01 @Num1Zero Back in the day, I used to have my local CD place special order every new Moxy Fruvous CD from Canada. I got started when I heard King of Spain in passing while radio channel surfing on the way to work one morning. Not to quipple, but this deal seems too hot to be real.

In for 2, one in each color to prove I’m not prejudiced.

Sonic? Is it as versatile as The Doctor’s screwdriver?
But if it’s Sonic as in “the fastest thing alive”, no way do I want that in my mouth. [g,d&r]
Man, round heads for my tiny teeth and I would be all over this
