Pulse Ultra 3S 25C 2700mAh LiPo review

Yesterday I received two new Pulse Ultra LiPo 2700mAh batteries I bought on eBay. I paid $15.70 each, including shipping.

Pulse Ultra LiPo

The quality is very good. Fit, finish, components, connections... all seem to be top shelf. This doesn't look or feel like the other two cheap Chinese batteries I have. Seems to be equal or better quality compared to the stock battery that came with my meh.com P1.

Equipped with XT60 and JST-XH balance connector. Battery lead is about 100mm long. Balance lead is about 80mm long.

Weight is 192g (6.8oz).

Dimensions are 105mm x 32mm x 22mm.

Last night I charged them with my SkyRC Imax B6 using the 1A Balance program cycle. Took about 70 minutes to fully charge.

This morning I took them out to measure flight time using the bare Cheerson CX-20 (no camera, no gimbal, no VTX) equipped with genuine DJI P1 8 inch rotors.

I started timing as soon as I connected the battery. GPS acquisition only took a few seconds. As soon as I had GPS lock I took off, settled in at about 12 foot elevation and switched to Loiter mode. As soon as I received second level voltage warning I gently decreased elevation to a smooth landing. (FYI: first level warning is "start looking for a landing spot"; second level is "land now or fall from the sky")

I duplicated this process for both batteries. Both flights were uneventful and similar. Temp was 70 degrees, wind was a gentle, constant breeze of 2 to 3 mph, no gusting. I allowed about five minutes between flights for a cool-off period.

Battery 1 flight time was 14:29. Battery 2 flight time was 14:41. Obviously these flight times will drastically decrease with more aggressive flying, or the addition of a camera/gimbal, VTX, etc.

My overall impression is very positive. Based on these two batteries, Pulse seems to make a very good product. At the price I paid I'd say they were a bargain.
